Just for the sake of being a truly anally retentive, here's another mention of Chinese Democracy in the Jan 2008 edition of 'Stuff'.

Big in 2008 - Music

Guns N' Roses

Chinese Democracy

Will he? Won't he? To be honest the only reason we care whether Axl Rose releases the fourth 'proper' GnR album is that, if he does, he'll tour with a full band and we'll get to hear Night Train live.

At least they care somewhat!

it also lends to the theory that BH and Brain may come back once the ball starts rolling..that would leave BBF and Ron in the shadows but i think it may happen

Do you seriously think there is a chance of this?

Anyone else?

I thought they were long gone.

He doesn't really have a reason to lash out at Axl or GNR. Axl has never really trashed BH in the media, and BH knows he kicks ass on these songs and his contributions cant be topped.

He might have said something positive if that was the case. People must ask him.

I haven't read the threads about the book, but if its organised by the mods, I hate that. They are so quick to bash people who even dare joke or make slight sarcasm about GNR, yet they are happy to trash the guitarist that made GN'R?

All this reunion talk reminds me of Pink Floyd. Waters would love to reunite, but Gilmour just won't let it happen.

Slash Gives Blondie a Makeover

Former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash shocked staff at a British radio station by defacing a picture of Blondie singer Deborah Harry.

The rocker -- who was at Virgin Radio's London headquarters being interviewed on Wednesday -- gave the Blondie star a black eye, moustache and beard when he spotted the portrait on a corridor wall.

Amazingly, station bosses saw the funny side and left the picture up.

A source tells Britain's The Sun: "Out of the blue he asked if anyone had a marker pen.

"A few minutes later he said he needed to pop to the loo. He then walked over to the painting as a runner walked past and turned to him and mouthed, 'Shhh!'"

Breakfast Show DJ Christian O'Connell says, "We're not going to bother replacing the painting. It's a great story to tell visitors."

Seems to have drawn an interesting Mygnr type debate on the website!

Interesting and kind of pointless.  Slash-related, nonetheless. big_smile

Former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash loves listening to Walt Disney film soundtracks. The long-haired guitarist - who became the first musician to break the smoking ban when he lit up on stage at the Cardiff International Arena in June 2007 - is renowned for his love of hard rock music, but has now revealed he has a softer side. He said: "In my record collection you'll find the complete catalogues of Walt Disney music. All the classic themes - 'The Jungle Book', 'Cinderella', 'Lady and the Tramp' - the who
le lot." The 42-year-old musician - who is currently lead guitarist for Velvet Revolver - also admitted he has an unhealthy obsession with British comedienne Dawn French. He added: "I love anything with Dawn French in it. She's f***ing brilliant!" Despite revealing his unusual musical tastes, Slash - whose real name is Saul Hudson - also said he is proud of his rock 'n' roll background and his love of alcohol is down to his British roots. He said: "I was reunited with my family in the 1990s when they hung
out in the dressing room and cleaned me out of alcohol! I felt very proud I was part of this lineage of English p**sheads.

Has he been on the smack again? Slash, can you see the little green men?

I'd so love to see AC/DC bow out with an absolute rocker of an album and tour. They deserve it, their contribution to rock n' roll is awesome.

As for Metallica, I know this probably wouldn't be popular, but I'd prefer either a really raw album (aka Kill em All or Ride the Lightning) or a modern version of And Justice For All. They've done their rock bit on Load and Unload.

I'm looking forward to the new Opeth Album too.

If Metallica did anything even close to ...And Justice For All I'd shit myself with joy.

I guess that means Lars having to do some practice.

Yeah, band cant survive another major departure. Fortus or Frank leaving means nothing, but if anyone else leaves its definitely over.

Agreed about BH. His loss was bigger than most realize.

I'm still amazed how quiet he's been on the whole subject. Not even a word through the grapevine (I thought he might have said something to one of his fans, if he speaks to them). Makes you wander whether he's holding out for royalties.

I'd hate it if we never got to hear Chinese Democracy.

I'm more then happy for the old band to reform but want to hear what Axl's got first.
