There will be no single and no album in 2008. Shackler's was your single release. People just don't want to believe it and refuse to see it that way.
Just my opinion of course.
People refuse to admit it, but the window for an 08 release is getting smaller everyday and is almost completely shutdown.

I would count riot shows for sure. That's part of the history.
Trust me it's not a good history. That night we didn't like Axl all that much.

If you only count a complete show once in St-John NB in 2006. Saw them for about 3 songs in 92 in Montreal.

The window has not passed, but as with all things Axl... he'll wait 'til the last possible nanosecond to pull the trigger.
While I was sarcastic saying Axl wouldn't lie. I do believe the Nov 25 date will not happen. I think we're getting nearer to see a release but it won't be Nov 25. I could be surprised but I do believe Axl when he said a release date would be announced at least 8 weeks in advance. Why I believe him on this? I don't know but I do. I don't think 08 will be the year. I believe 09 would be the year. Hope I'm wrong though.

Friday today and no official announcement. The window for a Nov 25 2008 release is pretty much shutdown. And I'm only taking Axl's word for those who are still hoping or may think I'm negative. Only 3 more weeks left for a possible 08 release.
Edit: Between this week and Nov 35 there are 8 weeks. That's why today I do not believe that Nov 25 will be the date because Axl said that it takes 8 weeks of proper promo. And Axl wouldn't lie on this.

Part of being a great entertainer, is entertaining. It's ok to be the butt of a joke--"It's only Rock and Roll" and I like it. Think of Jagger and Richards, they are running jokes, and use it to their benefit. When you are as big as GNR, jokes go with the territory. It's a backhanded compliment in a sense.
I'm sorry but not in this case. Again you can hide your head in the sand and pretend all is fine in GNR but it's not. The last tour was not a huge success. At least not in North America. At the show I was at, when they played the new songs the crowd went silent. That's not a good sign for an album that has supposedly received heavy promo for the last 5 years.

I understand your points, but as Axl runs Guns N' Roses, I don't expect him updating the fans. Well, if there isn't any official word about the release date in the next 2-4 weeks, then we can write off the November 25th date, maybe the whole year. I'm more worried about the fact that there isn't a single gossip about the first video, although that is badly needed to sell well in the first weeks.
Thing is Mikka is that it's not just Axl. You have to consider that Uni is involved in this. And they have a 13 million dollars investment that they wanna recoup. They would announce the release date if Axl won't. Plus you have Best Buy. They paid to have an exclusive deal (If the rumors are true) so they would announce it too. I'm telling you, no announcement this week no Nov 25th release date.
