#17841 The Garden » Man jailed for urinating on dying woman » 922 weeks ago

A man who urinated on a woman as she lay dying and shouted "this is YouTube material" has been sentenced to three years in prison.

Anthony Anderson also covered Christine Lakinski with shaving foam after she collapsed in a Hartlepool street.

The 50-year-old, who suffered from a number of medical conditions, was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Anderson, 27, and from Raby Road in the Teesside town, had earlier admitted outraging public decency.

The court heard how, on 27 July, Miss Lakinski was making her way home with a box of laminate flooring when she fell ill and stumbled into a doorway.

Totally shocked

Anderson, a former soldier, had smoked a cannabis joint and been drinking when he and two friends spotted her.

He tried to rouse her by throwing a bucket of water over her, before urinating on her and covering her with shaving foam.

A crowd had gathered around, watching and laughing, and the incident was filmed on a mobile phone.

She was later declared dead at the scene, the cause of death being given as pancreatic failure.

Magistrates in Hartlepool had referred the case to Teesside Crown Court so a longer jail term could be handed out.

Judge Peter Fox, the recorder of Middlesbrough sitting at Teesside Crown Court, said: "You violated this woman in an incredible way, and the shocking nature of your acts over a prolonged period of time must mean that a prison sentence of greater length is appropriate in this case."

Outside court, Miss Lakinski's family said in a statement: "We remain totally shocked that anyone could behave in such an appalling way.

"The fact that Christine was dying makes this man's actions even more sick and inhumane.

"However, those who stood by and did nothing to stop Anderson are also guilty in our eyes.

"It beggars belief that these people chose not only to condone his cruelty, but also to walk away from a neighbour who was clearly in distress and needed help."

The family statement added that Christine had "faced immense challenges throughout her life", yet still had managed to "forge an independent life for herself".

I'll probably buy the Axl tracks to support him, but I seriously doubt I buy this disc unless I see it for pretty cheap at Best Buy.

We're getting glimpses of why Axl cant really fit in to other artists work. We had glimpses in the past(Henley the most notable example), and we sure are getting it now. This may sound lame, but he is "above" the people he is working with on this. He's an artist that cant and shouldn't be contained by what the other artist he is collaborating with is doing.

Some of the old people here like madagas might remember when Henley talked about the end of the innocence sessions many years ago. How Axl was just so intense during their session together that he had to be toned down.

You cant box him in. If you're going to do something with him, you better have some ambition. I can see why he rarely collaborates.

I'm not knocking the Henley track. Just used it as an example.

At the same time, this track(and the other songs) dont really deserve much of an analysis as they were obviously thrown together pretty quickly with very little thought. Nothing wrong with that, its just not up to "Axl standards".

Monica Potter

This chick should've been a huge star. I think that crap she used to get about being "the next Julia Roberts" bit her career on the ass. It happens sometimes. The media jinxes it. She's definitely too old to grab the spotlight now anyways. I think she concentrates more on her family now than actually having a career.

Some of the themes(well, all of them actually) are going to be worked on this week, so if your skin happens to disappear or look different, its not a glitch.

Oh man, this is atrocious. There's zero feeling in this. Its like they're reading the lyrics from cue cards. Terrible. It starts out immediately as a disaster. They don't even do the intro correctly. Where's the "I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!!" that should kick the song off, preferably an Axl scream? The band doesn't do a very good job either.

Cant fault Axl here though. He doesn't do anything wrong, its just he cant really take the song anywhere else within the limits given to him.

I do give them props for picking such a ballsy Aerosmith tune to cover. Could've taken the easy way out and did Walk this Way, Dream On, or something like that.

I'd love to see GNR do this song(without Baz).

If I have to grade this, I'll give the band a D, Axl a B mainly for just showing up and not fucking it up, and I cant rate Baz because its just the same old Baz, good or bad(opinions vary).

Not trying to slam it or rain on any parades, just giving my honest opinion after 3 listens.

Here's the way I see the "nutswingers" and the "whiners".

*no offense intended. Just using those as terms for this discussion*

a nutswinger wishes for positive things to happen so much that even if there's a hint of "negativity", they either deny it exists, or just brush it under the rug and move on to the next topic. Or argue with a whiner.Or they will see something positive in anything(a specific member at mygnr could be mentioned, but I wont).

the whiners have been skeptical for so long, that when something that can even be considered remotely positive happens, that realistic approach kicks in just on instinct.

These two sides can debate rationally most of the time, and the two sides only "unite" when something monumentally positive happens, like the 06 and 07 leaks. Specifically the 06 leaks. It only takes something like the Axl-Slash press release to drive them apart again.

In my opinion, there's not much difference between both sides. Just the approach is different.
