I'd love to see the explanation behind this one.

just because YOU don't like the guy or his site doesn't mean its cool to harass the guy.

Unfortunately he's not here to defend himself, but I'm sure you'll do a great job 22  The guy is acting like a zealot or even more like an employee. He tries to rewrite GN'R's history and try to discredit everything the ex-members (mostly Slash) has done since leaving GN'R. The disrespect and hostility he shows towards Slash and Slash fans is amazing. (Slash is a liar, Slash is a thief, Slash is an alcoholic, a junkie, Salsh this, Slash that etc. 24 hours a day.) It's like he's obsessed with Slash. Either the guy's in need to visit a good psychiatrist or needs to close his eyes when he's looking in the mirror, he should stop this insanity.

(On the other hand he acts like everything current GN'R players or other employees say is the crystal clear truth, then when they get fired (Merck for example) he censor it.) Shocking, he's been doing this shit since Sanctuary started to sponsor him/his site. No wonder why the Axl camp is satisfied with the job he's doing, he's like the dark side of Beta.

I think this is a stunt by those eatmysilkworms dudes. It really sounds like their creative team behind this. I don't care whether someone loves or hates Jarmo, a person doesn't deserve to have that kind of page dedicated to them. Like JB said, if you dont like HTGTH, don't go there. End of story. There's plenty of other sites to get your GNR fix besides HTGTH.

The page is probably meant for shits and giggles, but its still absurd. Eatmysilkworms was meant as a joke as well, but the joke went over peoples heads and it started getting attention and then they spammed it everywhere until it was finally put out of its misery.

I guess they see Jarmo's 'fan page' as the biggest insult against Guns N' Roses. Ever. It's silly but not as silly as the guy's forum.

How many fucking people are gonna be on this album?

Yeah, makes you wonder if it is a solo album, a band album or what. You have 7 players in your band, and various line-up changes. You sign a lot of producers, composers, guest musicians...hey, is there something like creativity of your own? Axl will have this album with full of other people's ideas. It's the sign of the lack of own ideas.

"a lack of of own ideas?"
because he has multiple guitar players and a harp player, plus whoever we want to speculate?

i am sorry but you are dead wrong.

these are examples of ideas. he wants a grand album full of different influences. if anything, it means he is more creative because he has the vision of his music if someone were to do this or add this to it and the means to orchestrate these additions.

I'm sorry to tell you but Axl doesn't have a vision. Even Tommy Stinson said that. Various past and present members said that Axl only wanted them to jam, while he was sitting in the room. Then sometimes screamed: 'there is a riff!' etc. They just played and payed without any focus. One of the reasons why Finck left the band.
I remember an interview with Beltrami or Buckmester where the composer said that Axl invited him to work on some songs, but when he went to the studio Axl wasn't there. Later he arrived with some 'Hawaii luggage', like someone who just popped in from a holiday. He asked what he wanted him to do, and Axl answered: 'do what you want'. Well, he really has a vision. roll

I don't just look at it in hindsight. I was 18 when that was released, and I remember buying it. I enjoyed getting to hear some new Guns material, but it left much to be desired, and as I mentioned earlier, really stuck out like a sore thumb among what else was going on in the 93-94 period. You had ... List goes on and on.

What does GNR bring to the table during this incredible two years for the music industry?

The Spaghetti Incident and Sympathy for the Devil.

The fact the fanbase considers it mediocre has less to do with it being the band's last release. It has to do with their favorite band becoming as relevant as your rotting christmas tree still sitting by your garbage can two weeks after Christmas.

Nobody fucking cared. Not even their own fans. There were too many interesting things going on to care about GNR doing covers.

GN'R found the 'punk revival' before the punk renaissance happened. That was the problem. 2 years after TSI neopunk started to rule the rock charts. GN'R was too fast. Had it been rawer (without Skyliners crap etc), more inspired and come out a year later, it could have been huge.

Good points, although I don't think releasing TSI would have been a mistake. With some different songs and more emotion it'd be great for them to win some time till the 'next' album.

There was no next album(hindsight tells us we shouldn't have expected one either), and more emotion in different covers wouldn't have changed a damn thing.

In hindsight, its no surprise the band started to derail within a year of this album's release. There was just zero ambition in a band that was loaded with ambition just two years prior. Its like Izzy's departure just sucked the life out of the band, and the huge tour following his departure was just a band in cruise control.

It happens with most bands after such a huge tour. Metallica needed 5 years to reelase a new album after the black one, GN'R could have done the same, but they started to work too early on the new one and some things, like the hiring of Paul Tobias killed all the personal ties. TSI meant to be only a Lies Part 2, but since they sweeped out the loft, all they had were these covers. (Wonder what happened to the Hanoi Rock covers though.) They never said it was a 'real album', just something for the fans. Had they managed to sort out the personal problems, we'd have had a new album in 1996.

I think I'm the only person on Earth that loves GNR's version of Hair Of The Dog.

Yeah, I was never too fond of that. Trying to copy the original too much, it was a safe choice for a Nazareth cover(something like Shot Me Down or Miss Misery would have been better), the ending drags on too long, etc. The songs just sounds forced. A lot of the album sounds forced with little emotion, especially the Axl tracks. The Big Dumb Sex outro is like nails on a chalkboard. There's zero feeling or emotion when he's singing it. Its like he's reading the line from a cue card. BDS might have been added for a taste of irony, but that doesn't excuse the lack of enthusiasm when singing it.

Yeah, the production is great and it does have a few killer tracks, but the album was so unnecessary. Its a spitwad of irrelevancy in the face of a key moment in time for the music scene. I remember when radio stations were playing the album's only single Since I Don't Have You for awhile, I would laugh when I heard it start. It was almost uncomfortable to even hear it because it was just so worthless compared to everything else going on at the time.

As I said earlier, the album is just one big giant mistake. Adding insult to its injury is the fact it was the band's last album. What was a minor and recoverable fuckup turned into a shit stain on the band's legacy.

Good points, although I don't think releasing TSI would have been a mistake. With some different songs and more emotion it'd be great for them to win some time till the 'next' album.
