Yes, given that the soil has different properties in different locations that's not really unexpected. The depth of the bedrock is not the same in each location, for instance. Neither is the compactness of the top soil (it was more compacted/denser at the location where the flag was planted, for instance).

The fact that there are variations in track and footprint depth, to me, lends credence to this being real. If this was done on a sound stage things would be much more consistent.

Most if not all of the so-called 'proof' that the moon landing was a hoax has been debunked scientifically, which is my favorite way of having things debunked. The no-tracks thing for instance could be argued from a 'common sense' non-scientific angle: "why would they go out of their way to crane-lift the rover from location to location instead of just pushing it around and creating tracks", which is a fine argument. But, more scientifically, there are photos of the rover going from one location to the next (two photos, taken seconds apart, with the rover about 12 inches further down) which show no tracks yet clearly showing soil falling from the mud flaps. That indicates that, in that type of soil the rover did not create tracks. Knowing the weight of the rover, and the average weight of the astronauts, it is clearly demonstrable that the pressure on an individual rover tire when fully loaded is actually lower than the amount of pressure on a singe foot. When carrying only one person, it is about half. That easily explains why there are footprints, yet no tire tracks.

This is photo one, of the rover standing still: 21447494423_5537efebaa_k.jpgAS15-85-11470 by Project Apollo Archive

This is the photo taken right after, of the rover clearly about 12 inches further down (look at the white rock-like looking thing): 21697411811_490a31cce4_k.jpgAS15-85-11471 by Project Apollo Archive

The problem with most of these theories is that they are the result of a bunch of pseudo-scientists lifting out small pieces of data and analyzing them in a specific way to come to a pre-determined conclusion. It usually takes the form of "look at this detail, I can't explain it, so the whole thing must be faked" and ignores all of the other evidence that supports NASA's claims. The rover no-track claim is a good example of this.

I think you need a tax break if you are healthy, take care of yourself, and low risk.  The smoker or the guy that is morbidly obese should pay more than someone that takes care of themselves.  One reason why Europe works better is THEY ARE OVERALL MUCH HEALTHIER.  They don't eat all this shit we do.  So our European buddies don't drain the system nearly as bad as we do.

They might eat a bit healthier, but there are more smokers. Tobacco products are indeed heavily taxed to cover the additional cost. Some countries are mulling a 'sugar tax' on non-diet soda's as well, but proposals like that are usually quite contentious.

You are right Christie. Many out there are afraid. Afraid because of guys like you.
He even brought out the 911 corpse, the only candidate I noticed to do so.

Hillary did as well, in an attempt to defend Wall Street... roll

There is no fixing it. The system is rigged.

So what... you've given up? The only option is to let the broken system go on for eternity? Or are you one of those "Thin's is busted, an' th' only way t'fix them is wif mah shotgun" guys?

I just don't understand the "'Murica is too big" excuse, at all...

  1. The bigger the pool of insured, the lower the overall insured risk, the cheaper the insurance. This is economics 101.

  2. The EU (all member countries have socialized medicine) is much more populous than the US, and it works across the board. The vast majority of Europeans balk at the half-assed system the US uses and would never support fully privatized medicine. I.e.: they like the system.

  3. There is absolutely no reason why you can't organize this by state, if you're really scared of the size of the thing. Just create federal legislation that defines the rules, and let the states organizes the practicalities

Socialized medicine is not what the average right-winger thinks it is. You will still get to choose your doctors and hospitals of choice, doctors will still earn a metric shit-ton of money, you will pay less for all parts of your healthcare needs and you will get better overall quality healthcare. This is what healthcare in Europe, Canada, Australia, etc... looks like, not the rundown hospitals, referral requirements, assigned doctors, half-assed medical treatments, ... that you associate with communism or third world countries.

And if you're a rich-ass motherfucker that's afraid that he can't get preferential treatment anymore, think again. You have private hospitals all over Europe, and they will pamper you as much as you're willing to spend. The basic access to the core medical treatment is the same for everyone though.

The most innovative pharmaceutical companies are in Europe (Germany, Switzerland, Belgium ...) because of socialized medicine. Because Hospitals are either ran by non-profit organizations that abide by the same rules, you will see a lot of hospitals sharing (top of the line) facilities with big (tuition free, or limited tuition) universities with the goal of having the access to the latest research and tools. This symbiotic relationship is responsible for some of the brightest minds in medicine.

Stop trying to come up with ways that it wouldn't work. Think about the benefits and start thinking about how you can actually make it work. Fucking uninformed negativism gets me mad as hell...

Single payer is not the answer. I've yet to hear of a country anywhere near our size with socialized health care that likes it.

Insurance gets more efficient, and effective as the number of insured goes up. You should be able to run one of the most effective single-payer healthcare systems in the world.
