It's kinda hard to make an argument that play is at a high level when one division has a whole bunch of teams playing ok or subpar football and leading the division at 2-2. And at 0-4 a team (SF) is not considered out of it yet. Hell, you can start a 5th string qb and still win a game.
In this case, the regular season has less meaning because as long as you get in, you have as good of a chance at winning than the team that won the division or posted the best record in the league. It's baffling why the NFL is considering an 18 game season (outside of monetary gain); weeks 16-17 only have a few significant games where both teams are playing hard. The Colts and Saints (and others) treated those games like preseason games.
Sure, the NFC West is weak (the NFC East is kinda weak too) but other than that everything is competitive with at least two worthy teams. Placement in the playoffs is a huge factor - the two teams that had home field advantage through the playoffs last year were the teams to win their conferences. Hard to say it doesn't make a difference.
There's always upsets and injuries and other things that can take a top team down early, but making the playoffs is difficult, especially compared to the NHL, NBA, or NCAA basketball/baseball. The NFL's regular season is VERY significant especially in comparison to other sports.
To misterid, Henne's INTs were the type Edwards is infamous for (although the ball passed the line of scrimmage so maybe they're a bit better decisions) so he wouldn't have helped the Dolphins at all.
Bills trading Lynch isn't really anything, the run game in Buffalo will produce about the same, the draft pick will probably bust. Oh well. The Moss trade I really don't understand, especially if NE thinks it's going to compete for a Super Bowl this year.

You don't know the meaning of what I wrote, and you didn't even inquire about it. Anyone who would respond to a statement they didn't understand with something other than a question, could never be wise. I'm guessing you just assume that there's nothing a 'free' person (am I allowed to say 'person' or is that a recognition of self? Would 'douchebag' or some other insult be more acceptable?) like you could learn from me, and that sort of willful dismissal of an opportunity to learn something is why I see you as nothing but a fool.

Yeah I agree with Axlin on that, it was/is a fad, and while I don't fault bands for being trendy, it's hardly a long term business plan.

Surprised the Bills released Edwards, but not too upset. He wasn't our present or our future, and we've got two better QBs anyways. Shame we've just about ruined his career though. He was a talented kid before our line let his brains get smashed up.
As for Vick, his passing stats never impressed me in Atlanta. He was overhyped because he was so dynamic with his legs, but he was just an average QB in a league that requires great QBs to win championships. Now his passes look better, he looks more comfortable in the pocket, and while I think it's really early to get excited about the Eagles, you really couldn't have asked for more from Mike Vick so far.

I don't think the Bills have any expectations of winning before their bye week (week 6), or of being remotely competitive this season. The reason they didn't get a new QB for this year was because they knew they couldn't protect anyone, so putting a young QB back there would actually hurt their potential. They're letting Edwards and Fitzpatrick take the hits because they have no faith in either.
I think the RB situation is much the same. As soon as Spiller was drafted, it was clear that Lynch was no longer a part of our long term plan. So why's he getting most of the carries? To up his trade value, I think. The trade deadline is the Bills' bye week, so I expect him to get moved sometime before then, then they have the extra week to get Spiller ready for the rest of the season.
Anyone could look at this Bills roster and realize they can't win. Why would their management be any different?

Don't hold his ex-con status against him. He served his time, paid his debt to society, it's over. If it's possible to redeem yourself from your mistakes, then he's done so. For all the celebrities and sports stars who find loopholes and avoid the consequences of their actions, I think it's a shame that someone who actually submitted fully and honestly to the justice system is continually judged by the crime he committed.
I've never been a Vick fan (although I have thought Buffalo should sign him/trade for him many times) but how is he a PR nightmare? The dog fighting? Really? I think the way people have reacted to his play in 1.5 games shows how big of a deal that really is. On the field trumps off the field in the minds of fans (hometown ones, anyway). Whoever he brings wins to will be thrilled to have him.
Tony Romo leads the league in passing yards
Miles Austin leads the league in recieving yards
Cowboys are 0 - 2Typical. Seriously like what the fuck. Jason Garrett is problem #1. Wade Phillips is problem #2. Garrett can't game plan or call plays worth shit and team discipline has been the achillies heal of the Cowboys since Phillips took over as head coach. That's all ya need to know.
Demote Wade to defensive coordinator, fire Jason Garret and replace him with anyone and give Bill Cowher anything he wants to take over as head coach.
28th in the league in rushing yards will lose you most games. 2nd in pass yards (Manning passed Romo monday night) isn't that impressive when you lead in pass attempts, by 15, through only two weeks. I stand by what I said last year about them not being nearly as talented as their fans imagine and the media wishes them to be.
The NFC East is really weak this year so any team could win it, but the NFC champion is not sitting in that division.

As far as I know the soundtrack is just Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, I don't think it's under the NIN name.
