I still don't know what the hell Buffalo is doing. Draft a RB with a top 10 pick and relegate him to KR (and PR) and have him 3rd on the depth chart. RB is one of the easiest positions to come in and contribute. The only excuse for not getting carries is injury.
Beanie Wells looks like he'll actually play this week vs OAK. The QB situation in Philly makes me wonder whether or not they should have just kept McNabb.
Braylon Edwards didn't really get disciplined by the Jets for his DUI. He won't start but he'll still play, not much of a punishment if you ask me.

I don't think the Bills have any expectations of winning before their bye week (week 6), or of being remotely competitive this season. The reason they didn't get a new QB for this year was because they knew they couldn't protect anyone, so putting a young QB back there would actually hurt their potential. They're letting Edwards and Fitzpatrick take the hits because they have no faith in either.
I think the RB situation is much the same. As soon as Spiller was drafted, it was clear that Lynch was no longer a part of our long term plan. So why's he getting most of the carries? To up his trade value, I think. The trade deadline is the Bills' bye week, so I expect him to get moved sometime before then, then they have the extra week to get Spiller ready for the rest of the season.
Anyone could look at this Bills roster and realize they can't win. Why would their management be any different?

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. - The Buffalo Bills have released quarterback Trent Edwards in a surprise move that came a week after he lost the starting job for a second straight season.
The team announced the move in a two-paragraph release Monday, a day after Ryan Fitzpatrick provided the offence with a spark in a 38-30 loss at New England. Coach Chan Gailey was scheduled to address reporters later in the afternoon.
Edwards was in his fourth season in Buffalo after being selected by the team in the third round of the 2007 draft out of Stanford. He went 14-18 as a starter, including 0-2 this season.
He was benched a day following a 34-7 loss at Green Bay on Sept. 19 after going 11 of 18 for 102 yards and two interceptions.
Brian Brohm is the other quarterback on the roster.

Vick has done very well against two pretty bad teams and defenses. I'm not ready to annoint him as an MVP candidate just yet. Although, he's been better than expected. I realize he was great for a time with the Falcons, but I didn't expect him to be this good this soon after the long layoff.
Similar to Tiger Woods. He is probably the greatest golfer ever, but he hasn't been nearly as good since he came back.

Surprised the Bills released Edwards, but not too upset. He wasn't our present or our future, and we've got two better QBs anyways. Shame we've just about ruined his career though. He was a talented kid before our line let his brains get smashed up.
As for Vick, his passing stats never impressed me in Atlanta. He was overhyped because he was so dynamic with his legs, but he was just an average QB in a league that requires great QBs to win championships. Now his passes look better, he looks more comfortable in the pocket, and while I think it's really early to get excited about the Eagles, you really couldn't have asked for more from Mike Vick so far.

Vick did play very well, but he also did play Detroit & Jax. Granted, in the NFL you can only play who you're scheduled, but I'll reserve judgement until week 8 on his current level. I do agree he does seem better than when he was in ATL.
