Axl S seems to be talking in broad strokes there.
But many other major acts have released music during 2020.
This is going to shock you but there used to be a rock band that released an album called Rock n’ Band LIES because their full-length album was taking so long.
The inability to release music, quality merchandise, and baseline communicate with their fan base if not 2016-2020 then certainly 2018-2019 is a symptom of a deeper issue.
I don’t begrudge them wanting to make money and time it up with the tour but I do begrudge the above and laziness. Record a new song. This is your job. Call it Double Trumpin Jive. And “COVID ate our album plans” excuse can easily turn into “the second wave ate our album plans” or “yeah we’ve reopened but the stadiums are only half full ate our album plans”.
At the end of the day, you have enough bread. Maybe share some with the ducks.
Qu'ils mangent de la brioche!
Quack quack!

I prefer The Ballad of Death.
#383 Re: Guns N' Roses » Robin's This I Love solo is the best moment in GNR history » 243 weeks ago
It's a disjointed mess if u ask me...
I see what you’re saying but it’s literal perfection. It’s a character in a play, it’s everything Axl couldn’t or wouldn’t say in guitar form. It’s the sound of a broken man desperately and frantically trying to pick up the pieces of his life.
No, Slash's solo in November Rain is the best. But Robin's solo in TIL is fucking awesome. Better is still his greatest contribution.
I’ll have to do a big think on whether I like his Better or The Blues solo more...

#385 Re: Guns N' Roses » How much has Axl worked on CD since its release? » 244 weeks ago
Merck there’s way better songs on Chinese than IRS and Checkmate isn’t a GNR song Mercuriadis
And yeah probably but he saved the project before Azoff and his boss was a loon so he gets a pass
#386 Re: Guns N' Roses » Was Axl considering another KOHD cover on CD? » 244 weeks ago
Knockin sounds similar to the 2001-2002 style so yeah studio rehearsal.
I did James. It’s like when you trade Tom Brady to the Lions and Payton Manning to the Bears. Just a fun, alternative universe thing.
I wanna hear Bucket tear into that stuff.
And it’s not like they were doing anything.

I don’t know but I bet guitar techs know more about the Chinese Democracy saga than most. Someone should buy them a beer.

I’d never listened to Van Halen Live 2015 in Japan.
It’s a great show.
Dave’s voice is a little thin but it’s held up remarkably given age and prior lifestyle. The band sounds tight and Wolfie continues to be underrated.
I don’t go out of my way to insult Gn’R but nowadays they’re the ugly friend you compare others to. Van Halen sounded great in their last run, Prince actually cared about his craft to record shows properly, each time another artist does somethingcl, Gn’R looks like a joke in comparison.
Anyway, check out the record above and ADKOT if you haven’t already.

I actually tried listening to the Gary Cherone record the other night and couldn't get past the first song. I'll give it another try.
Also not Gary's fault but an objectively terrible record outside of the single.

Fair Warning is underrated. Great Eddie record.
ADKOT is underrated.
Balance is better than FUCK.
Sammy got Robin Finck'd by the band. He shouldn't have to put up with that.
But lets keep it positive.
