No, Slash's solo in November Rain is the best.  But Robin's solo in TIL is fucking awesome.  Better is still his greatest contribution.

It starts rough, but I love the rest of it.

It's not the best "moment" in GNR history. Not even top 20 probably. I still like Better, Sorry and There Was a Time's solos better.

More like bottom 5.

I'd like to hear any alternate solos considered... including Robin solos.

I see what you’re saying but it’s literal perfection. It’s a character in a play, it’s everything Axl couldn’t or wouldn’t say in guitar form. It’s the sound of a broken man desperately and frantically trying to pick up the pieces of his life.

I’ll have to do a big think on whether I like his Better or The Blues solo more...

Love the solo, but what bigbri said (although I prefer this to Sorry).

Not in this lifetime. It's a plodding turd of a song with a solo to match.

Best CD solos:

If the world
Sorry
Better (Fincks one)
Prostitute

Buckethead shines, Finck underwhelms, Fortus can't even be heard and Bumblefoot should have never got near this album - the hatchet job he did on Catcher in the Rye is unforgiveable.

Every time I hear the solo i think of the treatment for its video that was to be animated/claymation of the guy who turns himself into a bird to reach his dead love. Would have been incredible.
