#31 Re: The Sunset Strip » New AIC Album Sept 29 » 822 weeks ago
From the beginning I have felt an AIC album without Layne would be pretty much worthless.
I've only heard two tracks so far but from those tracks I am really looking forward to this album.
It will NEVER be the same without Layne but damned if it doesn't sound good. MUCH better than I expected and easily on the upper tier of rock songs I've heard over the past decade.

Fan edits being hoarded?
Comedy gold, Jerry. Comedy gold!
This would be hilarious if it wasn't true! Wow...that's really all I can say, lol.

I am worried also about Todd writing this as Jason X was...well Jason X! lol
The good news is Zombie cant introduce another acid trip excuse for a "vision" again. H2 was one of the poorest movies I have ever witnessed.
I'd like H3D to go back to the morning after the original Halloween II. Show what happened to Loomis and Michael (besides what we piece together from later entries) and then fast forward to the next installment.
I think the biggest thing is to bring back the mystique of Michael, not some 6'8" org who grunts like a bear. I'd like to see Haddonfield a few years after Halloween II. People seeing Michael in the distance, not sure if they saw what they think they saw. Build ups to the killings, suspense AND a FALL/Halloween season reflected in the setting.
Bring it back right or just kill it off. No more garbage!

"... Weinstein said Rob Zombie, who directed "Halloween II" and 2007's reboot of the 31-year-old horror series, won't return for "Halloween 3-D." That, at least, is very good news. WTF was Zombie on when he wrote his "vision" for H2?? I'm a huge Halloween fan but I saw H2 over the weekend and this could very well be the absolute worst movie I have ever seen.
"This franchise is in trouble."
Big trouble I'm afraid.

Great interview. Ron is a very witty and fun person, what a great asset to this community.
Nice job to everyone involved in making this happen and Ron...thanks for being a friend of the fans bro!
#36 Re: The Sunset Strip » Ozzy Osbourne Parts Ways with Zakk Wylde » 832 weeks ago
I love Zakk, I fuckin' hate Manson BUT John 5 is really a solid guitarist. He is much better than what most think, you just have to get away from the MM bullshit to hear it.
That was a dick move by Ozzy sure enough, Zakk deserved better.

Man this album is sounding better and better. All but Fergie. As BLS said I'd hit it but I'm not up to hearing Fergie on a Slash album.
