I've seen those before, but this one... I don't get it... Finck?
#752 Re: The Garden » Whats the latest Video Game you've completed » 878 weeks ago
in order:
Resident Evil 4 (on Gamecube - first game I've completed since the original Unreal)
Resistance: Fall Of Men (ps3)
Portal (the full 4 hours worth of gameplay ) (ps3)
Army Of Two (ps3)
currently working my way through the original Half-Life² experience on ps3 (for the first time).
Games that I'm playing on-and-off, but can't seem te get motivated enough to finish:
Max Payne (the original, on PC)
Metroid Prime: Corruption (on Wii)
Resident Evil: The umbrella Chronicles (on Wii)
Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem (on GameCube)
I do plan on finishing at least Max Payne and Eternal Darkness in the not so far away future.

Other than the Blu-Ray player, I'm not sure why.
Being in the games industry, I'm really curious about what made you go that route.
Reasons for me:
1. Blu-ray
2. Openness of the system (mp3, aac, m4a, mpeg, ... vs wm* for media files, for example)
3. Free online experience
4. XMB vs Xbox IU
5. Bluetooth vs Prorpietary system
6. Integrated battery vs AA batteries in controller
7. USB vs "Memory Cards"
8. Possibility to upgrade hard drive with a bog standard laptop disk
9. "Install Other OS" option (I'm a linux freak)
10. Resistance: Fall Of Men

Anyone seen the video for "Heavy Rain (ps3)". That looks like it's going to be an amazing game. I love adventure games like that, so it might just be me, but if you remember Quantum Dream's previous game "Omikron: The Nomad Soul" and you like that, I think you'll know where I'm coming from.

Any chance you could post up a screenshot for us? Would like to get it fixed
I think you can safely ignore that. It's probably 'cause of the theme I'm using on that particular linux machine (firefox 3 finally decided to integrate the gnome look and feel inside the web pages themselves, but the support is still quite buggy). I'm on my linux laptop now (different gtk2 theme) and it looks absolutely perfect. I absolutely love the design.

one other thing, under the title of the topic it used to say who initiated it. is that gone too?
I'd like to "me too" this one. I often decide if a thread is worth opening based on the initiator, it's something that I really miss now. If it's a space issue, I would suggest replacing the last poster in the thread with the thread initiator.

I just logged in for the first time today (dunno when it went live), but I'm having the exact same thing as Axl S. and cohorts.
Using firefox 3 on linux.
my user agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.1) Gecko/2008072820 Firefox/3.0.1
*edit* nevermind, I missed the fact that there were two pages .
Only bug left for me is the quick-reply box (too wide), but I don't use that anyway.
#758 Re: The Garden » Can you believe this isn't real? » 879 weeks ago
Me, I still prefer Fifi (from 2000).
Yeah, but fi-fi is a real girl distorted by special effects. The new one is complete CG. That's quite amazing.
As for games. You guys should check out the new "Heavy Rain" trailer for PS3. Now that's a game I'm buying. The animations are incredible and rendered in real time.

Apparently Axl rips BH a new one.
Is that an actual rumour?

Black Sheep, a band he was in, were heavy into shredding.
Where did you hear that?
*edit* fixed a very silly spelling mistake
