#71 Re: Guns N' Roses » The Great GNR Message Forum Sell out » 880 weeks ago
i agree, nice thread. the only gnr forum i now visit is this one, because ALL views are welcome here (as long as you dont go kill each other, hehe). the others have gone way foxnews on everyone, its like a very bad vibe hanging everywhere, like a police state....everyone trying to get someone else banned for spelling something wrong or wadafok.
suddenly everyone who listens to a leak is a terrorist and you get banned...if you say bumble sucks, you are a child molestor and you get banned.... but this doesnt mean the admins of htgth or mygnr are actually getting stuff from the gnr camp. in fact they are just being played at best, if anything.
in fact, they are probably being looked down upon more for being so sheepish and brown-nosy... and they are being used.
so keep it up, this place is what the gnr community needs at the moment.

this i love is one of the best songs of gnr, or rock in general. i only have a problem with some parts of the finck solo (annoying double stops, no place in a song like this)...but axls vocals, the buildup with amazing instrumentation and ending....its just epic. and i just listened to the skipping version, lol.
sorry is also very cool, its trippy (because of bucket fills) and rocking. axl sounds so different but still axl. bucket is doing the solo and fills, very lyrical solo. very atmospheric song.
catcher in the rye sounds amazing too, expressive vocals by axl at the end...finck solo doesnt come close to may's but yeah...and the ending is awkward too, not fade out like the leak we had...it just stops and the drums has a snare beat too much at the end. one of my fav songs of the album too.
scraped is pathetic, so cliche and fake, erase the mofo. just like irs, afterbirths of an ugly fat beetch these 2 songs are.
street of dreams is alright, but i heard it so much already and the rock in rio version is still the best. this version has guitars added at the start, some new lyrics in the end screams. again nice song, but this i love, sorry, citr and prostitute are a level higher.
didnt hear the rest of the new leaks
oh yeah, now im here. i think there is so much hypocrisy in the gnr community at the moment. basically people who listen to the leaks are suddenly terrorists and child molestors who need to be executed....because we allegedly steal money from axl and stuff...
99.9% of the gnr community are gonna buy the album anyhow, so STFU and comb your preppy hair. too much htgth and mygnr will rot your brains and turn you into a drone.
and since when was gnr about doing as you are told, not breaking any rules, not being a rebel? i missed that memo.
Axl Rose in 1991 "If you can't afford the album, steal it".

yeah the rhythm rocks, but nothing mindblowing like people make it out to be on forums i think. the focus is still vocals and solos.
what i mean is, the majority of the guitarwork is bucket....yet no threads started to praise that...bumble plays rhythm in verse, many gnr forums open threads praising it like the new black.
weird
#75 Re: Guns N' Roses » Not So Surreal Feeling... » 881 weeks ago
yeah we heard the almost finished versions, so the excitement will be less. me, i listenened to the finished version 4 times, said, yeah nice, it rocks and well produced, and thats it. i dont know if ill listen to it again unless its on the radio or tv.
when it had been released if i was in my late teens, i would have gone nuts about it, but now, its just a hobby thing which is just nice.
i am more excited about the buckethead albums to be honest, which is odd because i didnt used to like this kind of stuff when i was heavily into gnr. and now because of gnr i am more excited about buckethead albums, lol.
#76 Re: Guns N' Roses » Bucket » 881 weeks ago
too bad he left, he would have given gnr the extra thing it needs live which it lacks now. his solos are always ace, not 1 clam.
#77 Re: Guns N' Roses » Kudos to Bumblefoot » 881 weeks ago
bumble couldnt hold buckets guitar pick even if his life depended on it.
on some forums people started threads praising bumble after hearing cd....but people seem to have forgotten that 95% of the solos and fills are buckethead....just the rhythm during the verses is bumble, he said himself on his site. and its just straight forward stuff following the riffs someone else wrote.
of course the people who start those threads usually are the spammers from the bumble forums, who bump every bumble thread with some asslicking, especially if it concerns selling his fairly boring solo album.
they say stuff like, everyone liked the shackler solo or the tapping in the end....uuuh, no, majority hates them, gnr fans or otherwise...and many knew it was bumble from the start, bucket would never record rubbish like that.
bucket was the best guitarist gnr had and thats why axl tried up until the last moment to get him back, 2 weeks before hammerstein...bumble is just a second choice.
#78 Re: Guns N' Roses » Guns N' Roses to release Chinese Democracy single » 882 weeks ago
i like it, but worst choice for first single though. of all the songs weve heard better would have been the best. this single will bomb
#79 Re: Guns N' Roses » How does the new material rank against the old? » 882 weeks ago
i personally dont care about the old material anymore, because i have listened so many times to it, and also played it on guitar, it bores me....except maybe 7/8 songs like estranged, breakdown, perfect crime, civil war.
i cant stand appetite anymore.
so i am looking forward to new material without caring what was done in the past because i am bored of them in general.
#80 Re: Guns N' Roses » Time to recommend some Bumble.......... » 883 weeks ago
i personally think he is the worst thing happening to gnr. he is advanced in guitarplaying, but not in this style of music. when he plays the material, old and new of gnr, it sounds very pretentious and weak, no content. its like he isnt playing for the songs.
his own songs on his albums are weak too, the structures that some talked about are fairly unimpressive in the guitarist world. what most people like about bumble in that scene is the fact he is a nice guy who shreds and he is nice too...period.
before people say i dont like shred and stuff, i do (i play it on guitar myself too) and there are way better ones who also add content to their shredding which is hard to find in bumbles..yes bucket is one of them who is 10 levels above bumble...shoot me
thats the reason why axl tried right until the last moment to get bucket back, 2 weeks before hammerstein, bumbles first show. bumble is second choice for axl too and for a reason.
