Re: Odd thing happened today
A really strange thing happened to me today.
After football practise, I said goodbye to the chaps there and got into my car. It's all pitch black outside now, since it's autumn. I had just closed the door and started the engine when this weird thought came into my head.
"What if I'm gonna die today?"
I'm like..a bit surprised at my own thinking because I'm not normally a guy to think in those terms. I never do actually. Then I thought of my wife and what she would think if I wouldn't come back after training. What if I would just simply cease to exist?
It was really odd shit and I halfways laughed it off and semi played the part and went along with it. 50 meters down the gravel road from the soccer pitch I actually started to get scared of dying. What the hell was going on?
Between the football pitch and the following little town there's a short stretch of forest. It's known for a place where elks cross a lot, and people regularly hit elks there, one woman hit one just a few days ago. I decided, when driving, to be extra careful about elks and just keep it cool and calm. Going into the forest I tightened the grip on the steering wheel, two hands on and everything, and I couldn't force myself to go the speed limit or over. In fact, for the first time ever, I went 10-12 kilometers BELOW the speed limit. I was scared, it was a fucking weird feeling, but I just played a long, not taking it seriously either. Can't be too careful with those elks you know.
Coming out of the forest I suddenly spot some off-placed car lights ahead of me. One car seemed to trade spots with two others and then rushing past them both in extremely high speed. It didn't happen right in my face, so I did not need to slow down. He got into his line again before me, maybe two seconds before we passed? Not more. Maybe even just one second. He was flat out that fuck.
When it had passed I started to wonder; what if I had actually gone the normal speed limit, or a bit over as I have a habit of doing? Clearly I would have been at least a few seconds ahead?
If I had been going the speed limit, or more, I would have had no room to manouver. The guy would have hit me front and center, dead on. He was going at least 100 km/t from the looks of it. I would have been dead on the spot if I had hit him.
I'm reluctant to believe in anything supernatural, and I am not religious. The only thing I am guilty in is to have an interest in UFO's. Coming back home, parking my car, the whole incident just gave me the chills. I'm still not quite sure what went on, but I was scared and I went well below the speed limit for reasons I didn't know. If I hadn't, I would have been dead.
It feels like someone or something warned me.

eerie stuff, man. Glad you're okay. Sounds like a premonition. I think we all have that ability in some shape or form.
Like all the cancellations for the Titanic and the planes on 9/11 because of bad feelings. Exactly what you're talking about.

Freaky coincidence I reckon, but then I think shit like that all the time when I'm out and about, so it doesnt seem that unusual to me.
I'm one para fucker, too many drugs at a young age... I'm always thinking I'm gonnie die any minute now 
Theres this tree on a corner I drive past all the time, I have a horrible feeling everytime I see it that one of these days I'm going to crash into it and die.
I should probably tell a few people in my family, cause if it does happen what I'd really like on my gravestone is "I KNEW IT!!!" in massive letters.

Aye it does sound like a freaky experience right enough, I can quite believe it was a premonition, it doesnt make sense but sometimes you just know.
So often do I have experiences where I think I was a ball hair from death, that lately I've been looking at it from a parallel dimension perspective. Its been like I'm walking through life having having all these near misses and it feels like it was so close that fate could have went either way, but now it feels like it did go bad for one of me in a parallel dimension, and I'm the one that got away.
Like I said, too many drugs at a young age

That's Stargate SG-1 talk man; it is said that by every move and decision made, another universe pops up. So, endless of universes/dimensions and endless of outcomes. In many dimensions, u are not even born, in others you're about to become the fourth lead guitarist in GNR since 2001.
Obviously, in many dimensions I would have hit that car head on and died.
