Re: Michael Jackson's home contained child pornography, animal torture

Police reports from the 2003 investigation of Michael Jackson for child molestation have surfaced, and they paint a disturbing portrait of the late pop icon.

According to the reports, which were obtained by Radar Online, Jackson's Neverland Ranch in Santa Barbara, California was reportedly found to have been filled with child pornography, as well as violent images of animal torture and S&M practices. The reports also make mention of materials in which there was "morphing" of children's faces onto adult bodies.

The reports come from a police raid of the ranch in November of 2003. In the aftermath, Jackson was charged with seven counts of child molestation and two counts of giving an intoxicant to a minor. According to Radar, the reports include mention of materials "of children bleeding, in pain and tormented."

Ron Zonen, a former Santa Barbra D.A. who worked to prosecute Jackson, told Radar: "A lot of this stuff was used to desensitize the children." Despite the alleged stack of evidence against him, Jackson was acquitted at trial in 2005. He died four years later, in 2009.

Horrifying. 4 I knew he was disturbed but that is bat shit crazy, mentally deranged territory. Not surprising in the least that he couldn't get any sleep.

People have defended him for years. Is this when they'll stop pretending he's innocent?

And he somehow got away with it.

Yeah I used to defend him.

I figured he was damaged in some way - like actually a bit mentally slow maybe and still considered himself a kid so didn't follow why as an adult you can't have sleepovers in the same bed and that of craziness that was nuts but maybe different from actually wanting to have sex with kids.

Wasn't too far fetched to me considering there's other evidence of mental problems - like his plastic surgery and so on.

But this takes the cake - can't see any reason he'd have this stuff other than full on being a pedophile and using it for grooming and all that.

The animal torture stuff is pretty disturbing too - that seems his problems are even worse just being a pedophile alone.

Goes to show the complexity of life I guess, that someone can be so talented artistically, yet also have such horrible issues.

I read this earlier today..but it just linked back to Radar Online. I didn't know what that was, and it appeared to be just a gossip site. I didn't really see anything that confirmed the story. Oddly enough these types of sites have gone from total jokes (when we were  young) to be the first to break stories on celebrities.

I just checked back and it now links to the Santa Barbara sheriff's report.

What I don't get is why he wasn't prosecuted for having that stuff itself.

Like I get the cases involving molesting the children would be hard to prove and he has a lot of money.

But surely it's an offence itself to have stuff like child porn and animal torture things and so on in itself.

That's what I thought ^

If a kid or even several raise allegations of sex offences on someone (MJ in this case) the police look for evidence. They raid his house and find all this stuff and yet somehow it doesn't seem to count against him in court? Was it even raised in those court cases and if not why not?

It could be how they collected the material? Perhaps he had lawyers who were able to go through everything with a fine tooth comb and declare it inadmissible?

I get that it might be inadmissible in terms of the case against him for molesting the kids.

For example: Someone accuses you of being a mobster. They raid your house and find book about the mob and goodfellas on dvd.

Might even mean you WANT to be a mobster - but doesn't mean you've started yet.

So even if they found shit that displayed is sexual orientation was pedo - in court that doesn't necessarily mean he acted out on it with those children without other proof. (Even though I grant the common sense view is it makes it billions of times more likely). But in terms of innocent until proven guilty - you might suppress that evidence as it will repulse people and make people assume he touched the kids when perhaps he was yet to assault his first child.

What I don't get is that surely possession of those things is a crime in itself. Even if it proved nothing about him molesting kids - I would assume it's a criminal offence to own such materials anyway in and of itself.

It is in the UK, I'm pretty certain. The very nature of having that material means a child somewhere has been abused to take the picture. Therefore you are complicit in that and commiting an offence.
