Re: Other singers who auditioned for VR
i thought she gave up the singing carreer after 4nb... i think shes like a producer and song writer who just had some tunes left over that she decided to record
but yeah shes cool stuff...but i'll be the first to say...i doubt that they will get a female singer...the said they werent gonna go that route in 2002 and i doubt they will in 2008 either

It ain't going to happen, but I would love to see what they could do together with Dave Grohl.
I second that, he'd be awesome!

Re: Other singers who auditioned for VR
Maybe the Project should be how Izzy envisioned it. Just a loose connection of guys who play together at clubs every now and then. It'd free up Slash and Duff to do their solo thing, and make for one hell of a live show whenever they played.

that is actually what I first thought of. Also, you could throw in that Matt Sorum can also still do his thing with Camp Freedy more freely and I am sure it would not be hard for Dave to find his way into one of those three options or even something else.
Just be a recording band, releasing albums and then occasionaly doing some shows in small clubs/venue
I am sure most, if not all, fans would love this to happen and I am sure most, again if not all, of the members of the band would be happy doing this

For those who want to do a comparison:
Josh Todd (Buckcherry) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zu3Iqpnj … re=related
Kelly Shaefer (Neurotica) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6t4vZCnS … re=related
Sebastian Bach was next http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3JsVik3Shg
Pat Briggs (Psychotica) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=amQDDq7dUVA
A. Jay Popoff (Lit) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJ0zlYLtwHs
Courtney Love http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d0FeMch9JPw
Travis Meeks (Days of the New) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SnueCf4JaY
Todd Kerns (The Age of Electric, Static In Stereo)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4LH6xIGC … re=related
Shooter Jennings http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ts2TjN6uatc
Mike Patton (Faith No More) declined

Butch Walker (Marvelous 3) declined
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pvxrFEOrMxc
Mike Matijevic (Steelheart) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7F6FMQLke0QMy personal suggestion would be (call me crazy) Pink: http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbe … emID=92338
I'm a big Shooter Jennings fan, I'd love to see what the writing combo of these guys and him would come up with. I don't know if it would fly with most of the public though.
If you don't know who he is, don't judge him by that cover of Walk Of Life though, I think it's aweful.
If he's up for judgement, I'd rather see it be from a song I dig, whether anyone else does or not, it just makes me feel better.

slash's biggest allure to the biz is playing live shows though...and the majority of his relapses in drugs came when he was idle
Re: Other singers who auditioned for VR
If this search for a lead singer turns into a reality show, I'm gonna jump off the Golden Gate Bridge.
it wont heres a couple quotes from slash in 2003 regarding the reality show rumor
"That sounds exciting," Slash said, "but realistically, 'documentary' and 'reality' are two different things, and when you say 'reality show,' it just sounds stupid, as far as I'm concerned. There's something inherently wrong with the whole concept of reality shows. With the whole slew of reality things that are going on right now, watching everybody's trials and tribulations, the stupidest aspects of everyday life, or whatever it is that goes on, usually border on stupidity."
"No, no. Someone else made that up," Slash said. "Basically, what we're shooting is stuff. It's not... There's no reality concept or anything. We're just doing rehearsal and auditions and we're doing the writing process '” everything a band goes through to get it together, and we're documenting it."
there i saved you from the big plunge
