I wonder if they'll keep playing STP tunes in their set now that Scott is gone?

Or will this allow them to delve into the GN'R and their own back catalogs of songs?
I'd still love to hear so many GN'R songs played by these guys, but I suppose it depends if whoever they pick has the range to be able to sing them. Or they could pull out stuff from their solo careers/side projects.

Imagine VR playing some Neurotic Outsiders, Duff, or Snakepit tunes, that'd be awesome! 9

And I still think they should let Duff sing a couple of songs in their set so they could start playing Attitude live again as well. 9

No STP for sure. I don't see them doing more GN'R songs. But if it happens, Paradise City and My Michelle would be strong candidates, just like any Izzy song if the silent one appears @ the show. Although I hope that at least one Snakepit I. song got played, like Beggars & Hangers-On, there isn't too much chance for that to happen.

But I can suggest them a VR tune they should play: Messages 21

There's no way in hell they'll play STP tunes. I also doubt they will dig deeper into their own discographies. You'll get a big dose of the two VR records, plus whatever new material they do.

I'm still not sold on this actually happening anyways.

I would be very surprised if they keep playing STP now Scott's gone, just like I wouldn't expect Scott to start singing ISO on the STP tour. Different situations I know but for the same reasoning. Once a new singers brought in and album number 3 is made it'll be interesting to hear the setlist for the tour that follows, whether they keep a lot of old VR stuff in there and let the new guy do his own take on the songs or just include the hits so to speak from albums 1 and 2 and have the setlist heavy on tracks from the third album.

Yeah i'd expect the STP stuff to be gone. I think the problem with more GNR stuff is that without Axl they don't want to do it. I remember Slash saying he didn't want to attempt to play songs that had Axl's style on them like Jungle...

They kinda have a problem now. In that they wont want the new singer to be an Axl impersonator, or a scot clone...so they're running out of styles!

Yeah, I'm thinking that too.  If they add someone with a catalog, they'll use some of that person's old band's songs. STP songs would make as much sense as current GNR playing Praxis songs.

The only VR songs that I think should stay are off of Contraband sans SuckerTrainBlues. Love the song, but it would come strange with someone other than Weiland. It'd also be cool if Slash had more solo bits, like The Godfather,  or songs built around his guitar, like when he did Hey Joe. Depending on the singer, It'd be cool to see'm do SCOM or Nightrain.

I recently saw a youtube video of Duff's band Loaded rehearsing Dust N Bones, and that sounded killer.
I think Loaded also played So Fine in their sets as well, so I'd welcome either of those two being played.

The potential this band has simply on their back catalog of songs is there. Let's just hope they tap into that potential!
