Re: Velvet Revolver Say No To Reality Show, Plan To Announce Lead Vocalist

I'd like to see them be a "supergroup" if that's the direction they're going to head.  Get rid of Dave - I don't think his tone sounds good with Slash - and get a different guitarist that compliments Slash more.  He sounded great with Izzy and Gilby, so there has to be somebody out there that is a name and has some songwriting skills that can fit in.

It's not Kiedis... Remember the RHCP/Navarro fiasco a couple of years back? He doesn't function with anyone except the original RHCP team.

Haha, Karma. Although I know what The Mole is saying, I'm the same way alot of times ("a few years ago", "not that long ago".

I don't think it was Kiedis not fitting in with Dave as much as it was Dave not fitting in with the RHCP. Regardless, I agree. I don't even consider that a RHCP album. I view them as nothing from BSSM to Californication. Frusciante is key to them, oddly enough I'm pretty sure that's not him in the "Under the Bridge" video. I may be wrong, but I think it was some guitarist (Arik?) who was only in the band for like 2 months, basically only in the video. I may be wrong.

I'd like to hear it, but it'd be hit or miss. I agree they should probably replace Dave (Kushner now, not Navarro), he isn't helping. Maybe get Gilby back, that was probably a mistake not taking him in the first place. Kravitz, if they got him, I would just like to see 1 ok album, maybe a small tour, then pack it in. No expectations here, he'd do a good cover of FTP I figure.
