Re: Guide to free Buckethead stuff
First, at tdrsmusic.com, Travis Dickerson's site.
Bucket works a lot with him and records most of his stuff at his studio. Here you'll find free Thanatopsis stuff, which is Travis Dickerson on keys and Bucket on guitar. Truly special stuff. Also, be sure to get "Moonset" from Viggo Mortenson's CD. Gorgone and Cobra Strike, two other Buckethead projects, can be found here: http://tdrsmusic.com/musicpreviews.html
Bucket's site also offers several free songs
ODB tribute: http://bucketheadland.com/odb/
Nottingham Lace on this page: http://bucketheadland.com/attractions.html
The Game of Death: http://bucketheadland.com/bucketheadscoop/index.html
If you register as a member at buckethead.tk, you can get several albums for free.
Six-String Giant: http://bucketheadland.proboards19.com/i … hread=9915
Flesh for the Beast soundtrack: http://bucketheadland.proboards19.com/i … hread=9995
Bucketheadland Blueprints (low quality): http://bucketheadland.proboards19.com/i … hread=9995
And the holy grail of Buckethead, Giant Robot NTT: http://bucketheadland.proboards19.com/i … hread=9614 or here: http://www.alleyjazz.net/en/GiantRobot.html
For live concerts, you can get even more samples of Bucket's stuff. If you like it live, you'll like on CD.

You can download more OOP Buckethead related stuff, including El Stew: The Rehearsal, Mortal Combat score and Deli Creeps tapes, at this fan site.
http://www.buckethead-coop.com/downloads.html
Also, two new Buckethead-related tracks were posted recently over at TDRS.
One of these, the first one, is a Travis Dickerson solo with Buckethead, so it's basically Thanatopsis/DOE-like, but it does sound different. The cello is cool.
The second is a previously unreleased song that Bucket and Travis worked on. They will be released on separate CDs.

Re: Guide to free Buckethead stuff
Even if you hate Bucket, I strongly urge you to download Giant Robot NTT. Amazing shit. One of my favorite Bucket albums.
He even uses TCM samples in it.
If you didn't know, Saul(long time HTGTH member) runs the bucketheadland forum, also known as Buckethead.tk.
Definitely check it out.
Re: Guide to free Buckethead stuff
I keep forgetting to buy that Science Faxtion album. Is it being sold in stores? I'll check Best Buy next time I go there. I might have to just go ahead and buy it on Itunes.
I've heard it sucks hard. Might want to "sample" it first.
