GUNS N' ROSES' 'Chinese Democracy' Is 'Official Soundtrack' To 2008 GREY CUP - Nov. 21, 2008
According to Exclaim.ca, GUNS N' "ROSES' new album, "Chinese Democracy", has been selected as the "official soundtrack" to the 2008 Grey Cup (the Canadian Football League's championship game). On Sunday (November 23), "Chinese Democracy" will be featured throughout the Grey Cup broadcast, with several tracks being televised nationally in Canada on TSN and RDS. Also, since Sunday marks "Chinese Democracy"'s official release day, football fans will be able to buy the record during the game at Montreal's Olympic Stadium, making the album the first to be available for sale at a Grey Cup venue.

Wow, that's way cool. I wish they were doing something like that here in the states with the NFL.
Maybe CD being the official soundtrack for the traditional "Thanksgiving Day" Game? It'd probably get 20 million viewers/listeners.

Well new GNR music is supposed to be featured on some upcoming WWE programming, so thats cool. I bet it'll be the theme song for the next PPV, begining its promo this Monday on Raw.

that station i listen to HTZFM is doing another gnr weekend starting tonight...a gnr song every hour on the hour...including every tune fgrom the new album
like i've said a few times...gnr is big in ontario...cool that its the grey cup anthem

hearing stories and comments regarding cd a ton on talk radio shows lately here in minneapolis and so is my wife who listens to those crappy women's stations. the promo for this album, although subdued, is very prevelant.

That's pretty neat. Gotta love the Grey Cup. I was at the West final last weekend and Calgary played shit, but still pulled through. Go Als!!
GNR partnering with the CFL and Grey Cup... pretty good promotion. Out in these parts, Grey Cup is more popular than the Superbowl. Of course, I wouldn't think GNR cares about reaching a few fans in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
