Chuck's pushing 70, and still looks like he could take anything that comes around the corner.

Interesting.  I still favor Changeling because of better acting and storyline.  However, no one can ever accuse Clint of making cliched films.  Everytime he directs a film you know it's going to be emotionally HEAVY.  Hell, I cried at the end of Mystic River, and its the only time I've ever cried while watching a movie.

Anyway, I'll be picking between these films to watch:

Doubt
Benjamin Button
Valkyrie
The Reader

Does anyone have any opinions on any of these? I'm favoring Doubt only because its only playing at that one theatre.

Back to the topic last movie seen:

Taken--Liam Neeson kicking ass in Paris.

Almost a complete marathon the last couple of days. My childhood memories got an upgrade you could say. Thee are a lot of bad James Bond movies. The Timothy Dalton ones actually stick out, but Connery is still the man.

Star Wars - The Clone Wars (the mini series were better)
In The Name Of The Father (great movie)
Bad Boy Bubby (a very sick but great film, too bad the production was so shitty)

Just watched Gran Turino. While it is a great movie, I don't think its worthy of a bunch of Oscar nominations like Eastwood is accustomed to every time he makes a film. Rourke deserves the Best Actor Oscar long before Eastwood does for this.

I still have some films to watch that will sure to be factors on Oscar night. I might watch Slumdog Millionaire before going to bed.

I would have committed suicide halfway through that marathon.

Bad Boy Bubby

Been wanting to watch that for a long time.

Good selection, no room for Casino Royale? What's your favourite bond film?

I watched Role Models and Yes man in the last few days. Both pretty enjoyable. Yes Man because it didn't have Seth Rogan or Will Farrell attached to it which makes a change. Role Models was pretty funny too, I think Paul Rudds one of the best comedy actors around right now.

Saw it recently and wanted to focus more on the films I hadn't seen for a while.

That's a tough question. I liked Goldfinger a lot and the early Blofeld films are also good. Connery is by far the best Bond. The scene where he walks in on a chick while she's in the bathtub is classic.

I think you're in the wrong place.

Not from where I'm standing.

Could you hand me something to put on?

(Bond walks up and hands her a pair of slippers)

The Wrestler was one of the best films I've ever seen. Aronofsky has this rare ability to continually top himself as a filmmaker. I've appreciated and enjoyed each subsequent one of his movies more than the last. This is not only a career defining performance by Rourke, but one of the great film performances. Period.
