TMZ is reporting that Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers has lost his home

Flea, the bassist for the the Red Hot Chili Peppers, lost his home today in the fires raging through Malibu, KNX 1070 is reporting.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Flea purchased his 2,700-square-foot home last year, with a list price of $10.5 million.
According to KTTV, rocker Axl Rose lives in the area as well -- his home was damaged, but saved.
A rep for Flea could not be located.

Yeah. hopefully Axl(and these other stars) aren't the types letting people live there while they are gone. These types of fires can get out of control very quick.
Hopefully Axl keeps personal items he cherishes(family photos, archived footage,etc.) on a different property.

Trust me, he could probably now twist this into a weird excuse for Chinese Democracy not being out. That said, I do hope his cherished family belongings are okay. No matter who you are losing stuff like that is almost as bad as losing family.

Thank god he didn't lose it. I couldn't believe that the fires have started again[did they ever completely go out?], I saw that on the news today.

Flea's home was saved afterall. The reports earlier that it had burned were inaccurate.

As long as Axl is ok that's what counts.
On a wierder note...immagine if something did happen to the CD masters/vaults whatever...how fucked up would it be if the album was destroyed at this stage in the game!
