Do YOU think this thread jumped the shark?

"Back Off Bitch"
"November Rain"
"Sympathy for the Devil"
"Oh My God"
"Chinese Democracy"
"Better"
"Street of Dreams"
"If the World"
"There Was a Time"
"Catcher in the Rye"

Slash has a broader scope to work with simply because he is on every GNR track from 87-93. Taking away an album's worth of tracks doesn't tip the scales towards Tobias.

I'm a Huge/Tobias fan. I wish he would return to the band along with Bucket. However, I'm willing to call a spade a spade.

This thread didn't jump a shark. It jumped a brontosaurus wading in the shallow end. 16

Let's See...

"Anything Goes"
"Reckless Life"
"Shadow Of Your Love"
"Don't Cry" ?
"Back Off Bitch"
"November Rain"
"Oh My God"
"Chinese Democracy"
"Better"
"Street of Dreams"
"If the World"
"There Was a Time"
"Catcher in the Rye"
"Riad N' The Bedouin's"
"I.R.S."
"Madagascar"
"Prostitute"

vs.

"Patience"
"Used to Love Her"
"One in a Million"
"Perfect Crime"
"You Ain't the First"
"Double Talkin' Jive"
"Garden of Eden"
"Don't Damn Me"
"Bad Apples"
"Dead Horse"
"Coma"
"Civil War"
"14 Years"
"Get in the Ring"
"Breakdown"
"Pretty Tied Up"
"Locomotive"
"So Fine"
"Estranged
"You Could Be Mine"

Taking away 12 songs + covers... And songs he didn't originally play on... And even leaving in some of my favourite songs.

I choose quality over quantity even if it means giving up "Estranged".

why are dont cry and november rain in the tobias category? also slash redid anything goes, shadow of your love, reckless life and back off bitch

fuck i could write a song and if slash played it then it would rock...but i wouldnt be crazy enough to consider myself to be a better song writer or musician than slash

before cd tobias had little to no creative control over gnr....to think otherwise is madness...even the cd era songs dont hold a cnadle to the best of the best from the orig band...and the orig band had less time to create their works than the new band did to create one album...gnr was lightning in a bottle...axl, izzy, slash, duff, steven.....matt, dizzy and gilby managed to get caught up in the whirlwind long enough to become part of the enigma

this argument is like the tommy is more gnr than duff cuz he's been int eh band for a longer tenure....yeah well tommy and tobias didnt have a hand in making the band huge and the gnr brandname what it is today...i'm not taking anythign away from tommy or huge....i'm just telling it like it is

Tobias played on the original demos, Slash did re-do it in his own style... but he was for the most part playing parts already created by some one else.

Creativity is creating the music not playing it.

Tobias was involved before their even was a GNR.

Wikipedia... But the "Hollywood Rose" stuff isn't really that relevant to my argument or anyone else's.
