Good God, the vocals on the Chorus are fucking scary close to Axl on CD... If I didn't know any better, I would say that was Axl on the chorus....

Actually, the guy sounding almost exactly like Axl is kinda a big deal. Personally, I won't take the band seriously if they are basically trying to find someone who can sound just like Axl, but without the writing skill.
I love how they are 'crappy Weiland songs' when Scott didn't write the music.

Well I was trying to be nice to the Slashites, but i'll go with 'crappy Slash songs' if you prefer.
I actually will take the band more seriously with an Axl soundalike. A few months ago, I wouldn't have said that, but at this point, Axl trying to sabotage any chances at a reunion, I think it's perfectly within Slash, Duff & Matt's right to do GN'R minus Axl, for real this time, in order to give an FU back to Axl, considering Slash was just called a cancer.
If I were them, i'd work in about half-GN'R songs into their setlist next tour 'round, just as another way to twist that knife.
With an Axl soundalike, they also have the ability to go away from doing alternative stuff after Libertad tanked, and go back to trying to recreate the GN'R sound. Might as well, at this point, whether it's VR or new-GN'R, they're only touring as a novelty act anyways.

Good post Axlin08, no need now to "reinvent", just do what you know how to do best, this time, with no reservations... Be blatant and show you guys CAN still kick major ass Appetite Style.

Exactly. People lost interest in VR after CB, and Axl blew ANY chance he had at reinventing new Guns.
Not that i'm on board for an AFD-show with new Guns AGAIN, but they pretty much, and VR too, need to just do what alot of other rockers are doing these days, and just releasing the occasional album or live show, and pretty much just stay on the road as a throwback band to a by-gone era.
Let the kiddies like Papa Roach, and Shinedown, and Nickelback, or whoever do the 'mainstream' thing.
Even Metallica is starting to realize this. Like with AC/DC & Van Halen, there's major money to be made just doing what you do best, and putting on a good show, and we all know Slash & Duff and Axl all can put on good shows.

Not impressed either. They can get an Axl clone as far as I'm concerned - no need to keep reinventing yourself, you are what you are. However, this guy's not good enough an Axl clone to withstand the comparisons.
Furthermore, I don't really like his melodies. Not interesting enough.
*edit* This might sound ridiculous, but they needs someone along the lines of Jack Black. He's not the worlds best vocalist, but definitely talented enough and fuckin' creative within the confines of a no-holds-barred rock context.
