Steven Adler was running a drum clinic here in Melbourne Australia tonight.
Although I don't play drums..(i'm a guitarist)....I went along....it's GNR afterall!!
Steve demoed the intro to Mr Brownstone....and also played all of Welcome to the Jungle, Nighttrain, Sweet Child of Mine, Rocket Queen and Paradise City along with a backing track.
He spoke about drums and his life, and took questions from the crowd. He then took the time to personally meet the fans and sign autographs and pose for pictures and stuff.
He was a very funny guy, told some great jokes about his life. Was asked a lot of questions about GNR, including his opinions on Chinese Democracy, Axl, Matt Sorum, Duff, Izzy, drugs, reunions and all the stuff you'd expect and came across as very candid, honest, funny, and a really good guy.
I know he's had some problems in the past, but I still have a ton of respect for his work, and it's good to see him healthy and getting his life back on track. Here's the pic I got with him:

I'm very jealous, I bloody wish he was coming to Perth
Yeah it's a shame he's skipped perth cos he's going to Sydney and Brisbane too. Was a pretty cool night anyway....he said he hopes to be back with Adler's Appetite one day...so hopefully that will happen and you'll get another shot.
