Nice one! Did he say anything we havnt read before already?
Nothing that was entirely shocking...i mean it's pretty obvious his views on most of the stuff, obviously he's pro-reunion, regrets that drugs have fucked up his life, is defensive about his role in the legacy, and that kind of thing.
I know there's a lot of anti adler people around, and even if some of what happened to him is his own fault, I can see it would be tough to take from his side of things.
I mean he achieved his childhood dream of making it in music, gets kicked out of a band known for drug use by other people on drugs. He admits causing some problems but points out that there were a lot of issues that didn't concern him (during the writing of UYI) and felt he was singled out. Then he had to watch the band go massive on UYI, the other guys do VR and then all the strange new era gnr stuff now. Meanwhile his life was in the toilet on drugs. Like i say....i'm not saying he is right or that he didnt make his own situation to an extent...but thats got to be pretty tough for any human. How does one live with that.
Anyway...so he's obviously got some bias about what happened to him, and what should happen. But overall he came across as back having his act togehter, and having a pretty good sence of humour about the situation and the other guys considering everything.
He actually was positive about Matt which surprised me. He said basicly that recently matt has been more respectful of steven's position as the original drummer...and that therefore matt is an ok guy and that he (steven) just didnt like it when people forget about him or pretend like he never existed and it was always matt.
He said adler's appetite is looking to record a new album in a couple of months. I think he said july but i could be wrong about that.
And he told some funny anicdotes about the other guys.
Oh and he also said that he consider's slash's book to be pretty much true, and that he is working on his own version of events, which he says when viewed with what slash has written will be like reading the other 50% of stuff they got up to as kids.

Great stuff thanks! I have a lot of time for Steven, he seems a decent humble guy.
It pisses me off reading posts trashing him as an insignificant piece of GN'Rs legacy, he is anything but that imo.
It must have been hard for him as a junkie to get clean during the UYI period, trying to cope with the depression and withdrawl that comes with it, whilst seeing your old band and so called friends ruling the music world. I'll bet he relasped everytime he picked up a music magazine or turned on MTV.
