Re: Loaded and Corey Taylor, Its So Easy

Yeah, he's got it. I was all for Chester Bennington, but Corey has the Axl voice down pat, and (like Chester) he's popular with the kids. Make This Happen, Velvet Revolver.

Thanks for the clips MickR. I agree he done a good job on that song. He sounded like Scott in the start and finished off in Axl fashon at the end. I must say I hope Slash or Duff hide his masks if they pick him up.

SoFINE- That was the first time ive seen Duff do that outside guns and was really into what he was doing there. The lead guitar KILLED the solo tho!

OFFTOPIC- The singer from Dj's  old band Beautiful Creatures has a raspy AXL Meets ac/dc type voice. I wuld like to see him make it with some band VR has alot to choose from I hope they pick a goodun'

He doesn't use the mask in any band but Slipknot.

He sounded pretty good on ISE.  Probably the best cover I've heard.

do you guys think maybe HE was the guy that slash ( or someone.. i can't remember) said was almost in... but didn't have the "onstage presence" or whatever so they went their seperate ways... cuz.. after that video... and i saw another of corey playing the same song with slash... i almost have to say it could have been him... the pipes are there... but he just ....kinda... stands there... save for a few random head bangs and flailing...some walking back and forth... then right back to the same standing position...... just a thought

I've been saying it for awhile, that Slash & Duff's money now will be as a novelty act.

I think it's in their best interests to just find an Axl soundalike and tour peforming Guns tunes. Maybe even record some new VR albums, that are more like Guns N' Roses without Axl, instead of doing that alternative thing they did with Weiland.

But most likely, VR are dead.

It might actually just make more sense to start a whole new band, correlated back more to the Guns sound, and releasing future albums with that bluesy rock thing. I'd be real interested to hear it. Any experimentation or further off stuff, can be saved for Loaded (Duff) or Slash's solo albums.

Yeah. I mean you can listen to some of the Stone Sour stuff he's done and hear it. He's an amazing vocalist.

Even just listen to some of the more melodic parts he does in Slipknot songs and you can hear he's got it.

Yeah, Stone Sour is fuckin' great. Own both CD's and love both of them. One of the only bands with a nu-metal influence I consider worthy enough to spend money on smile.

Its a possibility these guys are old now but still icons.  seems there looking for the next freddy mercury, Axl, Robert Plant type.

Its not likely to happen and even thoes guys dont pull off there presence as they did in there prime.

slash and duff just want there prime back remember them sayin axl played to 50,000 and scot to 5000?

Honestly who dosent look back? this will likely keep VR from moving forward to anything than what axlin says a gnr w/o axl.

I think the same can be said for Axl.

I think people sitting back, and hoping for their heyday, are a bit miffed in their thinking.

Almost all of the artists there age are touring as novelty acts now, and I think eventually that train will reach the Guns N' Roses stage. Slash, Duff, Izzy, Gilby, Steven & Matt all want a reunion... there's only one man that doesn't.

So the most logical step is for them to replace him, and move forward with the throwback act.
