Re: Who here has a smartphone?
Pretty simple, who here has a "smartphone"? I currently use the newest Iphone, but I'm thinking of switching and would like to get other peoples opinions on what they use. I had a BlackBerry with Verizon, but the coverage in my area was kind of crappy. I switched to the Iphone b/c of all the hype, and now I'm getting fed up with the lack of multitasking. The apps are great, but the lack of multitasking is a deal breaker.
I'm currently looking at Sprint because of their awesome pricing for the plans.
Thoughts?
Re: Who here has a smartphone?
I've got a Nokia 5800 now, got it about 6 weeks ago. I really like it, I've had no problems with it at all, it can do loads of stuff. My best mate has an iPhone n he loves that. And another of my friends has an XDA, which he loves. So it's pretty much personal choice, whatever you're most likely to use on it is what to look for.
Re: Who here has a smartphone?
I don't have a smartphone because I honestly can't afford one. However I do take a keen interest in all things gadgetry and I have to say I am most interested by the Palm Pre. It's on the Sprint netwok exclusively just now. Should definetly check it out. Multitasking is also included with it and whilst it is early days it is poised to be a good challenger to the iPhone. It can also still sync with your iTunes library.
Re: Who here has a smartphone?
Just curious, what do you mean by "Multi-tasking"?? (I'm not trying to be sarcastic, just don't know ho w it applies to a cell phone)
I'm with Neemo, just give me a fucking phone. I'm old fashioned. But I do like having the MP3 player, and the camera phone (preferably with video, though I rarely use it).
Neemo I used to have a Samsung just like yours, it was great. Only problem is I left it in a parking lot for a couple days & couldn't find it. About 2 months later it just shut down for good. I got a LG Lotus, similar in what it does (camera & MP3) has the QWERTY keypad and & I think GPS, but I haven't signed up for the intenet for it. I've come to like it though.

Multitasking refers to being able to do more then one thing at a time. For example, with the Iphone if I am listening to IHeartRadio or Sirius' new app, I cant go into the browser and start browsing the web or looking at Google Maps.
Re: Who here has a smartphone?
I loved the BlackBerry when I had it, but I had a few problems with them. The browser was my main gripe with it. I just couldnt deal with the way it loaded alot of webpage. The OS wasnt to great either. But other than that, the curve was the coolest phone I ever owned.
