My favorite episode(s) of Family Ties, it was a 2 parter. These 2 actually got married in real life, what a happy ending.

FWIW it's Family TIES not Family Guy...
I went with The British Office. They deserve a win & are in a very tough matchup against a really good show. IMHO should have been seeded higher. For anyone who's never seen the British version, check it out on dvd. It's absoutley f'ing hysterical.
For Family Ties, the best episode was when Michael J Fox was breaking up with his girlfriend or something, at that song "What Did you Think... I would do at this moment" played. The very next morning a neighbors mom was giving us a ride to school & that song was played already. It went on to become a pretty big hit and is a good song. All from one appearance on a popular show. The song was like 8 years old or something too.
