Re: Gnr's 4 Studio LP'S...YOUR TRACKLISTS
So I assume this is about just "tightening up" / "trimming the fat" on the albums, rather than customizing tracklists. Okay...
AFD:
Welcome To The Jungle
It's So Easy
Nightrain
Out Ta Get Me
Mr. Brownstone
Paradise City
My Michelle
Think About You
Sweet Child O' Mine
You're Crazy [electric]
Anything Goes
Rocket Queen
a perfect record. Sure there are lesser songs in places, but one of the few albums I can listen to from start to finish without getting bored.
UYI I:
Perfect Crime
Dust N' Bones
Live and Let Die
Don't Cry [original]
You Ain't The First
Bad Obsession
Double Talkin' Jive
November Rain
The Garden
Don't Damn Me
Dead Horse
Coma
A few omissions. No 'bad' songs, but a few that could've been cut for a later EP someday.
UYI II:
Civil War
14 Years
Yesterdays
Knockin' On Heaven's Door
Breakdown
Pretty Tied Up
Locomotive
Estranged
You Could Be Mine
Several tracks cut, including Get In The Ring, Shotgun Blues, So Fine, Don't Cry [alternate] & My World.
CD:
Chinese Democracy
Shackler's Revenge
Better
If The World
There Was A Time
Catcher In The Rye
Sorry
Madagascar
This I Love
Prostitute
A few tracks cut, Street of Dreams, Scraped, Riad & I.R.S.
The rest of those cut tracks, could've been thrown on box sets/compliations and/or EP's for their respective era's. In 2009, many of those cut CD tracks, could've been "iTunes" exclusives.
But I, like everyone believe that the albums are the way they were meant to be.
Re: Gnr's 4 Studio LP'S...YOUR TRACKLISTS
maybe I'm old fashioned, but I'd keep all the albums the way they are. Even the songs I don't like that much help define the character of the album.
i'm with buzz on this.
maybe shotgun blues could be left out but the rest should be there. i wouldn't leave off any songs from those albums (afd, uyiI&II).
as far as cd goes, that's a whole other discussion which i'm not gonna bother going into.
