Re: The Tiger Woods Saga
Somethings too fishy with this. Was it 2AM or PM?? I heard AM at first, but myb that was the news trying to make a story of it that wasn't there. But if it was PM he comes off kindoff whiney for going to the hospital for hitting a fire hydrant in his driving. What was he doing, 8?!

Tiger's wife used club to smash into SUV after crash

Superstar golfer Tiger Woods has been released from hospital after being treated for facial injuries he sustained after crashing his SUV into a tree outside his home near Orlando, Fla.
Local police say that shortly after the crash, the golfer's wife rushed out of their home and used a golf club to smash open the SUV's window so Woods could get out.
A message posted on his website Friday evening says: "Tiger Woods was in a minor car accident outside his home last night."
"He was admitted, treated and released today in good condition."
A police news release originally reported Woods' condition as "serious," but spokesperson Glenn Greenspan told The Associated Press he is in good health.
The news release from police in nearby Windermere said Woods had just pulled out of his own driveway around 2:25 a.m. Friday morning. His Cadillac SUV hit a fire hydrant and a tree soon after.
Police arrived on the scene to find Woods lying on his residential street with his wife, Elin, by his side.
Elin later told officers that when she heard the SUV crash, she "came out and broke the back window with a golf club."
Local newspaper The Orlando Sentinel reported he was taken to Health Central Hospital in Ocoee, Florida, about a 15-minute drive from his home.
Reports say the 33-year-old Woods was treated for facial injuries.
It is not clear what caused him to crash, but police say alcohol was not involved. He was the only person in the SUV at the time. The police news release says charges may be pending.
Florida Highway Patrol told the newspaper that the airbags in the 2009 Cadillac Escalade didn't deploy, which means he was going less than 55 kilometres per hour.
Patrol spokeswoman Kim Montes said that an injury is considered serious if it needs more than minor treatment.
Woods' next tournament is scheduled to start on Dec. 3 in California. He won his last tournament, the JBWere masters, in Melbourne, Australia, on November 15.
Woods, who has won 82 times around the world and 14 majors, lives in a US$2.4-million home in the exclusive Isleworth subdivision near Orlando.
This is at least the second time Woods has been hospitalized this year.
He missed eight months of golf tournaments this year while recovering from reconstructive surgery on his left knee. Even though he failed to win a major tournament, Woods said he considered this a successful year because he did not know how his knee would respond.
Re: The Tiger Woods Saga
Yeah, there's something fishy about this whole thing. Obviously we aren't being told the whole story. It seems WAY bigger than a "minor" accident. Anytime someone has to break my back windshield with a golf club to get me out and I'm slipping in and out of consciousness, would constitute as a little more than MINOR in my book.
Things just don't seem to add up. I doubt if we'll ever know the full story. We'll probably get some lame excuses along the way.
Re: The Tiger Woods Saga
I could see falling asleep at the wheel and having that type of accident at 2 AM, but not after just leaving my house. There is way more to this story. Where was he going at that hour? How did his wife hear the accident? There's no reason for her to be outside at 2 AM.
How hard would he have had to hit the tree to have him slipping in and out of conciousness? A lot harder than hitting a tree right next to his house. They were too quick to say alcohol wasn't involved. If it wasn't alcohol, he had to be on something. Whether he ingested it or he was drugged, there's no legitimate reason for this to have happened.

Tiger Woods: Injuries Caused by Wife, Not SUV
Posted Nov 28th 2009 6:08AM by TMZ Staff
Tiger Woods did not suffer facial lacerations from a car accident. They were inflicted by his wife, Elin Nordegren -- according to a conversation Woods had Friday after the accident.
Tiger has yet to be formally interviewed by the Florida Highway Patrol -- that should happen this afternoon. But we're told Tiger had a conversation Friday -- with a non-law enforcement type -- detailing what went down before his Escalade hit a fire hydrant.
We're told he said his wife had confronted him about reports that he was seeing another woman. The argument got heated and, according to our source, she scratched his face up. We're told it was then Woods beat a hasty retreat for his SUV -- but according to our source, Woods says his wife followed behind with a golf club. As Tiger drove away, she struck the vehicle several times with the club.
Tiger WoodsWe're told Woods became "distracted," thought the vehicle was stopped, and looked to see what had happened. At that point the SUV hit the fire hydrant and then hit a tree.
We're also told Woods had said during the conversation Friday he had been taking prescription pain medication for an injury, which could explain why he seemed somewhat out of it at the scene.
