Ozzy never gets radio airplay here in Australia, even on rock radio, aside from maybe Paranoid, and even that is very rare. But then again, VR or Snakepit didn't get much airplay either. So if the song is good, both vocally and musically, I could give a flying fuck whether the public likes it or not.
Modern radio in Australia seems to just (over)play pop songs that have annoying hooks, so if Slash is saying "fuck that" by releasing a track that is balls to the wall rock, than I'm all for it.
If Slash wanted to go for something to guarantee airplay, he has Fergie and that Pussycat Dolls chick's songs as back up.
Nah, I think it was pretty much a guarantee that he'd lead with a ROCK vocalist for the first single. And I guess Ozzy is the most legendary singer on the list. But would Kid Rock have been a better choice possibly? Personally I dig Kid Rock these days a heckuva lot more than Ozzy.
Fergie, or Nicole (who used to date Dane Cook by the way, which he revealed on the Stern show last week) will most likely be the pop/rock crossover single that will come further down the line. Maybe 2nd out of the gate?

But it's in Japanese right? I just can't get into songs with words I don't understand. That's why I was never a big Ramstein fan. Or Nena's 99 Luftballoons.
Yeah i know what you mean...hard to sing along! The interesting bit is, if you listen to it again, for some reason the "Sorry, I don't remember anything about you" part is in english - and the rest of the song is in japanese.

Word is Myles Kennedy recorded a track for Slash's album! Whatever it is, it should be the lead single. For those of you that are unfamilar with Myles, he's the lead singer of Alter Bridge and has his own solo album in the works. Here he is playing a Guns classic.

Alice and Nicole an odd combination. Sounds like she will do backing vocals. I wish she would have got her own song.
None of that is registered with ASCAP so there's no way of knowing who wrote which songs.
I wonder if Nothing to Say is a Soundgarden cover?

You know what. I know alot of people think SCOM has cheesey pop lyrics but honestly I like them alot and the way this Myles dude performs this is unreal. The arrangement and the way he sings it is just awesome. I'd love to hear him do a studio version of this. No drums though. just acoustic guitar, maybe some keys and a tiny bit of electric guitar. Would be so amazing! Thanks for posting that A4L2.0
