In a move that is sure to delight fans, Slash's upcoming solo debut is to feature his old GNR foil Axl Rose as guest vocalist on one track.
The unlikely pairing was announced by Slash's old sparring buddy Izzy during an interview with Metahammer.com this week "Its great to hear his voice over Slash's Guitar again, ya know? There was a lot of tension in the studio, I mean, like, apprehension, what's he going to be like? Will there be blood spilled and like,.. Those guys just hugged and they smiled at each other the whole time. It was ya know. It was great."
The track rumoured to be the third single from the album has been given the tentative title "Living Up to the Name" and is said to be a Slash track for which Axl wrote lyrics. The Irony will not be lost on fans of the Duo.
It is unclear as of yet whether Izzy and the rest of GNR played on the track, but under the circumstances,(that being every member of the original GNR line up features on the album) it looks likely.

I'd love to see it.
Even without a GNR reunion, I'd like to see Axl + Slash become friends again, for three reasons:
1. it's a shame to have the achievments of the past covered with the current negative haze. Like how they recently said slash "ruined" UYI. I mean UYI is an amazing album, and slash is killer on it, it's insane that the hate can make anyone think otherwise.
2. If they were friends the fan base would drop the 'team sport' mentality, where if u like slash u have to bag axl and if u like axl u have to hate slash etc.
3. A single track like this prtend one here would most likely kick ass!

Why in the world would such a track be the THIRD single? You'd certainly have to lead off with that one.
I thought the first 2 had been decided and wanted to make to sound.....well plausible isnt the right word.....possible-ish

Yeah but IF this track existed there's no way they could keep it under wraps until the 3rd single. Once it was heard it would blow EVERY other song on the album out of the water. People could care less about an Ozzy/Slash song if there was an Axl/Slash collaboration.
