I think what might shock people is when he 'disagrees' with alot of Slash's past recollections.

Oooh, people will freak when that happens.

Just sayin', it could happen.

And if I had to bet on it I'd say it will happen.  But don't think Axl will be painted as a Saint either.

isnt it possible that slash's personal tales in the Slash book wont even overlap with duff's memoirs?

why do things always have to be a pissing match with gnr fans...the slash book IMO is a great read...whether or not its 100% accurate is not the point, i'm sure the general idea is there and even more importantly its slash's personal feelings on alot of topics that any gnr fan should find an interest in...

also, if slash cant write worth a shit, then i'd rather read a ghost writer's edit of slash writing, than chugging through a book that seems written by a kid in grade 10 (no offense to kids in grade 10 tongue ) but maybe its just me...

It won't be a pissing match Neemo, just the truth according to Duff and I'm saying that his version will probably closest to the truth as we"ll get.  As for the pissing match.  It won't be that but given the way this band ended it can't be a fairy tale either.

its juts fucked up always reading about who's a better songwriter, who sells out more, who tells more lies, who plays with better musicians, whose book sucks. some of you guys always wanna talk about conflict ... whether real or perceived ... slash's book talks about alot of shit, and we dont even know what "poor memories" that duff is referring to

maybe it was slash who jizzed on duff's leg and not izzy on slash...who knows, who cares tbh...the book is a frank (informative) recollection by slash from his days in gnr...good and bad, at times he paints himself the villian and at times defends axl and at times critisizes him...and its not like its only axl is who he talks about. he lays alot of dirt out there, and he makes his feelings clear on a few things as well...i dunno its hard to summarize...if you are a fan of gnr from their heyday its a fantastic read if you havent read it already

I think that the stuff from 1993 onward will be interesting because it'll give a clearer picture about how the old band disintergrated.  I'll be a little sceptical of some of the 1985-1992 purely because he was high and drunk during those days (just like Slash).  It doesn't mean I won't enjoy the book.  I think it'll be interesting to hear Duff's take on the Slash goes to Axl's house in 2005 incident too.

Duff has always been fair to both Axl and Slash so he'll give an unbiased account of what went down.  I'm also interested in his endeavors outside of music and that should be good to read as well.

reading his blogs its clear he remembers a lot more than he says/thinks he does

Yeah I think he remembers a lot that was more of a joke that flew over some heads. Duff is the only one who could shed some real light on guns from 93-97.
