Re: how are the shows selling this time around?
The 2 shows I went to in 06 were incredible. The first was the best GNR show I've ever seen. I don't care how many other people saw the tour.
Agreed
2006 fucking ruled. There was such an excitement in the air... too bad the album didn't come out, 'cause it killed the buzz.
When we looked it up here it was over 3 million.
There it is, and I believe that was worldwide. I think in the states it was certified platinum because of the BB deal, but only went Gold in reality.

Hot Tours at Billboard this week
$1,677,431 gross
Jan. 24-31
Copps Coliseum, Hamilton, Ontario
Air Canada Centre, Toronto
Scotiabank Place, Ottawa

It will be interesting to see the South American numbers if we can get them through Billboard.
Re: how are the shows selling this time around?
hot tours last week from Billboard...with some comparable bands numbers in Brazil as well.
Guns N' Roses ranks No. 2 for the week based on ticket sales from four concerts in Brazil and one in Argentina. Top-grosser was Estádio Palestra Italia in São Paulo (March 13) with $3 million earned at the box office and 34,872 in attendance. Another stadium date, Estadio Vélez Sársfield in Buenos Aires on March 22 drew over 35,000 fans. The five reported March dates on the band's Chinese Democracy World Tour grossed a combined total of $8.4 million.
