I think Dallas is way overrated this year. I'm thinking 8-8, miss the playoffs or get booted early. The Redskins will have a losing record. The Giants will be average. Eagles won't be great, but will be better than the other guys.
Vikings - 10-6. Lions will be better this year, so will the Bears. GB will put up Madden numbers in stats, but unfortunately the NFL is run on wins and losses, and they just don't have what it takes to win games. The Vikes have a TOUGH schedule.
Saints - 9-7, 8-8. I say they get booted from the playoffs early. Not buying them. They won't be as lucky as they were last year.
NE - 8-8. Not a very good defense. And the vibe from their offense is wierd. I think Moss is sinking back into "I don't care mode."
I actually think Buffalo will have an impressive 8-8, 7-9 record. Good defense. Their offense will be much better this year. Just enough to hurt The Dolphins, NE, and the Jets (who have yet to beat The Bills under Rex Ryan). I got a feeling this is going to be a tough division this year.
Seattle will also be a lot better. Cincy will self destruct midseason, but still make the playoffs. That's as far as the crazy train takes them.
If McNeil and Jackson were playing for San Diego I'd say they were going to the SB. But they aren't, and they aren't...
SB: Vikings/Colts.
My upset team: Ravens. Wouldn't be surprised if they knock The Colts out of the Championship game to take on the Vikes in the SB.
San Fran will make the playoffs. Broncos are going to be terrible. Better than the Chiefs, though. The Raiders will be better with a 7-9 record. Texans are an average team, but will be better than the Titans.

Just to stick up for my Patriots for a minute. Their defense COULD be a lot better this year. They've gotten a lot younger on defense the last couple of years and it looks like they're moving in the right direction. Especially in the secondary and linebacking corps. Darius Butler, Devin McCourty, Jarod Mayo, Brandon Spikes all look good so far. However, they do still lack a legitimate pass rush, which ultimately makes a defense a hell of a lot better.
Also, Randy Moss looks quite good so far, and it's only pre season. If he was in "I don't care mode", I don't think he'd be putting in this much effort this early on. He was far more injured last season than he ever let on, thus the perceived decline in effort.
Again, this Patriot team is as unpredictable as I can remember. They could be 7-9 or 12-4. They've looked VERY impressive so far in the pre season, but of course you can't put too much stock in that. The Lions went 4-0 in the pre season, then followed that with an 0-16 season, so you never know. So far, so good though.

I think they're good, don't get me wrong, but their division is going to be much tougher this year than years past and I don't really see them as a dominant defense.
Moss is just too flakey. His comments about expecting to be off the Patriots next season just sounds like how the (self inflicted) downhill slide starts.
But it's hard to tell with that guy.

The fear I have with Moss is this is a contract year for him. Normally that's a great thing for a player. They play their ass off to get a new contract the next season. But Moss's last years in Minnesota and Oakland were sheer disasters. So in that sense you could be right. He sees the writing on the wall, knows he's on his way out, and knows he's talented enough that another team will take a chance on him regardless. I just think it'll be different this time around. I don't think he'd quit on a team like this, with Tom Brady as his QB. Unless of course things go terribly wrong and the team hits a rough patch.
Also, I don't know if you've checked the Patriots schedule out, but it looks TOUGH as HELL! It's always hard to decipher schedules at the beginning of a season because teams change so much from year to year. But based on last years results and this years projections, they don't have too many easy wins on the schedule. Their home scheule is, NYJ, Mia, Buf, Cin, Bal, Min, Ind, GB. You'd be hard pressed to find a tougher home schedule out there. They were undefeated at home last season, until they got bitch slapped by the Ravens in the playoffs. I can't see them running the table at home this season. Their road schedule is a LITTLE easier. @NYJ, Mia, Buf, SD, Cle, Pit, Det, Chi.

You know, I wouldn't be shocked if Favre pushed to get Moss traded back to the Vikings. I've had that thought, but now that it looks like Rice is going to be out 6 weeks, the fact he's ahd a hard on for Moss all these years, I wouldn't be shocked.
Yeah, that road schedule looks good. Still, that division isn't going to be easy. My Dlphins are going to do anything spectacluar, but they can easily spoil another teams chances in a playoff picture.

The 2 games last night:
Bradford looked real good.
I like that the refs have impacted Peyton Manning's quick snaps, taking advantage of defensive substitutions and what not. That always struck me as cheap and really made me lose respect for the Colts. Now its a level playing field. I like it. And I can't believe the MNF announcers were saying they need a rule change to give Manning back that advantage. Are you kidding me? This is making the game fair and getting the best out of a game and both teams. He's a whiney little bitch anyway, just let him keep bitching.
I like the new rule.

I didn't see much of the GB/Indy game, but the Patriots looked HORRENDOUS for the most part. I'll give Bradford some credit but there's no way any defense should give up 330+ yards through the air to a team with a rookie QB starting his first NFL game.
And the Pats offense looked great in the 3rd quarter. Only problem, it was Brady and the rest of the starters against 2nd and 3rd stringers.
Signs of how inconsistent they're going to be this season

i'm not worried about the pats in the AFC east. mark sanchez is an absolute liability. the jets got hot last year for 3 games. whoop-dee-doo. revis is a fantastic player and the defense is first tier but the truth of the matter is they are a 9-7 team.
DO NOT underestimate the loss of Thomas Jones to the jets. shonne greene looked fine at the end of last year but to bank on him as your number 1 and pretend that you lose nothing because you bring in LT is a major stretch. jones was an absolute workhorse last year that single handedly won the jets games.

So is it a lack of pass rush or secondary issues for the Pats D? Looks like they'll have to outscore a bunch of teams.

LT is done; so they'll be mainly depending on Greene. Stupid move as I would have either resigned Thomas Jones or just drafted another guy to go with Greene. Instead, they went for the name player.
It hasn't been mentioned here but Derrick Anderson has been named the starter for tomorrow's preseason game for the Cardinals. That does not bode well for Matt Leinart's future in Arizona.
Man am I glad that Bud Adams picked Vince Young otherwise I'd be having this guy play QB for the Titans.
