Re: Reading, United Kingdom - August 27, 2010 (Reading Festival)
are u guy's serious?! still on that tweet?! what the hell does one thing have to do with the other? OMG i can't believe i'm still even responding to this twitter thing..
I know you're trying to show love for the band, which I get, but even I have to admit it makes a bit of a pattern. Maybe it's co-incidence...but first a show starts real late, promoters say technical problem not axl, bumble is upset, Axl's twitter says the tour is off (hacked or not), then the tour is announced as on, Reading festival warns not to go on late, band comes on late, set cut short, Axl cancels next peformance.
It could all be chance, but it does seem that things are starting to go badly.

it doesn't seem like things are going any more badly than they have since the turn of the year.
this reading/leeds debacle seems like an isolated - yet somehow typical & unsurprising - incident.
like olorin mentioned earlier i think we've had late starts at every gig since the asian tour.. reading is the only place promoters pulled the plug, axl retaliates by cancelling the 2nd leg of the reading/leeds commitment. i honestly don't see the connection to a hacked tweet - that was actually denied a couple of hours after it happened. but the fact we're still debating whether the tweet was axl or not is what i find amazing - that has nothing to do with whether i love this band or think they're idiots (i think both things) it's just amazing how little has changed in two weeks. despite all the evidence we have we can't get past this tweet thing.

We don't have any evidence. We have the GN'R camp's denial, that does not mean shit.

No, and it sort of puts me off debating this Reading bullshit, which is actually an interesting topic. Especially when they did come down on him, as the first event in history or something. That I like to discuss. Writing up theories I leave up to my Master degree paper which I should be writing right now instead of debating how Axl manages to cancel Leeds due to his own shortcoming.
Next up, Leeds!
Safe travels to those of you heading up there today.

So, I take it no one told him Axl didn't wanna play
Re: Reading, United Kingdom - August 27, 2010 (Reading Festival)
Go do your studies, this circus act just aint worth it. I have 2 important appointments the day after the Belfast gig I was going to have to miss due to travelling back home, now I'm almost certain I'm going to pull the plug on Belfast and put my energy and time into what deserves it most.
Are concert tickets non-refundable?

Well in their defense...

Re: Reading, United Kingdom - August 27, 2010 (Reading Festival)
Thanks, and yes, I did study some.
Fuck jarmo, he's a revolting little creep. Spineless servants like him and the fucked up cultish blind propaganda he spouts so smugly turn me off this band as much as anything else. Utterly nauseating.
The delete button must have been glowing red-hot last night.
How can anyone say "this is GNR..coool" when it involves SO many fans buying tickets for a show they don't even know is taking place?? It is so disrespectful. In fact, it's verges on sick.
Re: Reading, United Kingdom - August 27, 2010 (Reading Festival)
Clusterfuck, but somehow it will be the topic of the festival. They show up one hour late, and then does a protest sit down? What the fuck? It's like starting world war three, and then run over to the pacificts side, wanting love and peace for all. So gay.
Nothing cool, nothing rebel like. Just fucking up by coming on an hour late.
Say all you want about the curfew, which is beyond retarded in any way, but if you wanna play and wanna do the right thing. Give the crowd their moneys worth. You show up on time, do your job and give them a good time. Afterwards, you may punch the responsible for the curfew in the face or even sue, but you seriously don't go around that way.
I kind of like it though. Someone had the guts to stand up to him and just pull the plug.
Well, in GNR's defense they did almost get 20 songs in. so it isn't like they played 5 or 6.
only thing crowd didn't get was Better and PC.
I think its BS to cancel Leeds though and deprive fans who spent a shitload of cash a show.
