Re: [official Thread] Gn'r Drummer Fl Show 10/12
Hey all. Long time, no speak. Hope everyone's been doing well.
So, I'm going to check out Steven Adler's band, Adler's Appetite, tomorrow night at a local club. Any other Floridians plan to be in attendance? I'll do my best to post real time updates.
The club is pretty small so I hope to have a chance to rap with Steven. I met the guy is Pittsburgh a couple years back and he's a good natured, chatty guy. If given the opportunity, I'm going to ask him the last time they (classic five) were approached for a reunion, whether or not the 2006 rumor "it almost happened" is true, and for any details of his and Axl's Vegas run-in back in 2006.
It's an all GNR setlist. Fortunately, this version of "GNR" means that I don't have to listen to shit like Shacklers, This I Love, and Better.
Let me know if anyone here plans to go. We'll have a beer.

I went in Jersey. Good show man. Everyone was off with their timing but Steven.
Yeah, I youtube'd some recent shows and they sounded pretty tight. After the show, there's a book signing. I'll probably stick around afterwards to get his John Hancock.
Did they sell any t-shirts at the show you attended?

Hope you got to chat with him and ask that question. As far as the 2005-06 reunion rumors, always felt it was probably the 91 lineup involved in that.
If he hits my area I'll definitely check it out. He's gonna relapse when he meets me.

Adler's a cool guy...very cool to fans...and sounds like you'd have a good night.
I hope he brings out another solo EP soon, I quite like the AA original tracks they've made - very vintage sound but they work when you're in the mood for them.
As for the reunion thing, impression he have at the Q+A was that people offer them obsene abouts of money to do it from time to time but that Axl always says 'no'. Given Axl's comments online and other places, that sounds about accurate to me. Although I also suspect slash and duff would want some concessions from Axl - like no late starts - that he'd just never be able to give completely. So it probably takes two to tango.
I think it's a shame a guy like steve wasn't brought out for the slash album tour. He sounds good on that track with alice.

Yeah they had a merch table. The place was real small, basically a bar with a stage and a standing area. Cool gig minus all the tools in eyeliner and leather.

Dear lord. Sounds like my experiences at MIA shows where you gotta wade through a bunch of fags to get close. Wasn't difficult of course. Once they saw a guy that looks like a biker from the 70s walking through, the Liberace fan club parts like the Red Sea.
Still cant believe I never showed up on youtube clips from those shows. I check periodically too. I was close enough to get filmed.

For the record, no offense meant to any gay people here with my use of the word 'fag'. Was just referring to the incredibly flamboyant guys that go to her shows.
I know what you're talking about. I have nothing against gays - have fun, everybody. But every time I get to see a Tori Amos show, there is just too many of them... Once a 'guy', who had tits, was sitting next to me. The show was phenomenal though, the second best I've ever seen. (First is GN'R '92.)
