I have to admit I don't like seeing those hits and see them as stupid. robinson knew full well what he was about to do.

Yeah, Merriweather's hit on Heap was pretty cheap too.  Belichick was NOT happy with him.  His time in New England may be running out.  He keeps making stupid plays and isn't balancing it out with enough positives.  Starting this week, they're going to start handing out suspensions for helmet to helmet hits.  A good move, things are starting to get out of hand.

I'm sorry, but the hit by Dunta Robinson was clean. He didn't hit him helmet to helmet. It was a good hit.

I've seen it a bunch of times and listened to all the reporters who watched it over and over, and all I've seen was shoulder to sternum. Never saw it hit his chin.

Re: The 2010-11 NFL Season Thread

I thought the hit on Heap was dirty, and Harrison's two were headhunting too, although pretty damn close to legal. The others I've heard complained about... I just think it'd be asking too much of the defense to say they have to find a safer way to make those plays. Receivers running full speed around a defense in zone are gonna get lit up.

Brady went after another player's knee again. And yet he demands interference calls every time someone gets within a foot of his legs.
