Re: 2010 Fantasy Football
Has anyone been keeping track of the injuries lately? Dallas Clark out; Austin Collie out; Joseph Addai out. Desean Jackson out. I had to pick up an extra TE because Gates is questionable and Keller is on bye. Naturally one of my starting WR might not play so I'm forced to use Gates in a flex position.
Re: 2010 Fantasy Football
Congrats Neemo. It was bound to happen eventually. The Patriots (basically your fantasy team) didn't even have that big a fantasy day.
Romo went down tonight. I have him in another league. There are actually some decent options on the FA wire, sort of. I put in a bid for Ryan Fitzpatrick, who's been on fire of late. Also put smaller bids on Chad Henne and Matthew Stafford.
Re: 2010 Fantasy Football
I picked up Fitzpatrick in a league to replace Romo. In four games he's almost equaled Romo's output for the season. Not sure he can keep that up, but I'll roll with it. On another team though I have Miles Austin and I expect his production to drop quite dramatically. Maybe a week full of practice with Kitna will change things but he was focused on Bryant and Witten and barely looked Austin's way in the game against the Giants.
Getting back to respectability in our league. Back in the playoff hunt after a rough start.
Re: 2010 Fantasy Football
The trading deadline in fantasy football is approaching. I offered a bunch of deals in one league, trying to upgrade at WR or QB, since I have 4 quality RB's. I put in a claim on Blount this week not expecting to get him, but I did. I didn't need him, but figured he couldn't hurt. So now with MJD, McFadden, Blount, and Forte I feel I can afford to deal one of them. So one of my trades was denied and the other 4 are still hanging in the balance. BUT, I got a trade proposed to me. I don't think I like it, but I'm open to feedback.
I was offered Michael Vick for Jones Drew. Now, I'm pretty certain I wouldn't do that deal. But I could try to substitute Forte. Not sure if he'd be down for that. My current QB's are Kyle Orton and Ryan Fitzpatrick. I'm not certain Vick is a definite upgrade over either of those guys.
Thoughts?
Re: 2010 Fantasy Football
Vick has been playing well when healthy...if you think he can go the rest of the year without getting hurt again then go for it (for Forte), but then McFadden is a Health liability too...might not hurt to keep all your RB's cuz if you dont get blount then you are stuck with 2 guys, one who is injury prone, for a QB who is injury prone, then if DMac and Vick both go down then you'll need a QB and a RB
