Ironically, the social networking sites are making people less social and the internet is devolving.
This. That's my problem with it. It's all about social connection and yet it's destroying the actual fabric of how people are and should be social in our society. The boys now do it, because all the girls are on there. People don't even know how to be people anymore.
I'm not talking about the middle aged to older people that use it, but more about the kids.
No bullshit, i've had 20-30 year olds that I know who could see you face-to-face, and won't say three words to you. But will turn around and talk to you for HOURS on Facebook right after. WTF? Or people who live a block from your home, and instead of coming down to visit, just talk on FB. Or people who could call you, but just do FB.
Oh and in case you were wondering, if you wanna know about the party, it's on their Facebook account. They could JUST TELL ME RIGHT NOW WHEN I'M MOTHER FUCKING TALKING TO THEM... NO - go check my Facebook account.
And if I don't do that, then i'm not really their friend and I never really wanted to know them or spend time with them anyways.
And guys, i'm being completely serious. This has happened to me with multiple female family members and friends.
My best friend's wife informed him she wanted a divorce after 7 years on Facebook, when they were still sharing the same bed each night. True story.

You can delete all that shit from your facebook so you never even have to see it. I haven´t seen anything farmville related in over a year because I blocked everything about it. I block all the lame ass applications like Mob Wars and Hugs and Horroscopes. The second I see that shit I block it So even if I have a freind who´s lame enough towaste time playing farmville I´ll never know it cause I can´t see it. Hallelujah!
