Re: iPhone, Android or Blackberry?
Phones are overrated imo. I don't really get the fantasy love people have for them.
I got one of those nicer Samsung's for Pre-Paid. No contracts.
I've got alot of friends who have the Blackberry's, and honest to God i've never heard a good word about them.
Everyone that has an iPhone seem to really like it tho.
Re: iPhone, Android or Blackberry?
I bought an iphone4 about 3 months ago - never tried any of the others you mention.
Prior to the purchase I had always been just a normal phone user, i.e. use it to call and send texts plus take the odd crappy photo and make a nice ringtone. I had always resisted the iphones because I hated continually hearing all the iphone fanboys lubing themselves up over anything apple. Plus I would pirate shit before I would purchase anything from itunes.
MY phone was due for an upgrade so I finally bit the bullet and got an iphone. I was pleasantly suprised and really like it. My only complaint is texting with a touch screen is a lot slower with my fat fingers. But I now find myself browsing the net (I never did before on my phones even though some of them could). I don't do it a lot but I still use it as it's easy and I guess that's what it comes down to, I use more features of the phone since it's really easy to use. Some of the apps are also quite handy (I only download free apps coz I'm a tight ass), but they are just functional apps that I might use when out and about (don't really care about games etc).
I also now use the calendar and sync it with Outlook which is really handy for my work when I am out seeing clients. Again I never did this before on other phones but I did now because I found it so easy. I've resisted getting my emails to the phone as I don't want to become a slave to it.
I definitely don't regret buying it and would purchase one again. I need to upgrade my home computer and my wife has been on at me about getting a mac but I have always dismissed it. But I'm sersiously considering it now as a result of my positive experience with the iphone.
As I said I haven't tried the others so it's hard for me to make a fair comparison. All my friends that have had the iphone 3G have all told me how much they liked it. Again at the time I always struggled to determine how much was legit and how much was just them getting sucked in to the Steve Jacobs wank fest. Now having used an iphone I think some of the love is justified.
