Terrible. When my cat Duff died, who I had for 17 years, it was literally like losing a member of the family. I still have other cats but its just not the same.
I ran over My wifes Lil dog today. I really liked the dog...kids were attached...hardest part was I didnt know I ran it over and wife found him on her walk of our property just before dark. She came back to the house holding him and crying
