Re: The Key 'Rolling Stone' Covers of the Nineties
Fuck yeah monkeychow. That was a NICE photo.
She had two real good movies. The Crush was pretty good and Clueless like it or not is a teen flick classic. It was the Mean Girls of the 90's. I think her problem was she just got way too popular way to fast and yeah I agree her 'weiht gain" became a big issue which was ridiculous. She was called Fatgirl(Batgirl) and her movie Excess Baggage was poorly titled considering the media's obsession with her weight. It was pretty disgusting actually the way they treated her.
This is her from Excess Baggage. It's not the best picture but it shows her body type. If that's fat then sign me up I love fat girls.
I also had the Excess Baggage movie poster on my bedroom door. I croped it though and cut Benicio off
I honestly thought she was f-ing gorgeous. Her and Katie Holmes back in the day were probably my two biggest celebrity crushes ever.
Re: The Key 'Rolling Stone' Covers of the Nineties
The 90's were awesome, I wish I was a few years older to have got the most out of them, like old enough to get into clubs, raves and festival and take shit loads of good drugs in good atmospheres with an abundance of good music! I missed the first half, it was 1995 when I first got out there, it was still great but the early 90's were best.
I've heard some folk my age and a bit older use the phrase "the 90's were our 60's". Cant agree more

James Hetfield is most definitely one of the most commanding and powerful frontmen ever, but that photo of him shirtless with the leather pants, is just laughable...

Good to see the love for Alicia here as well, she's definitely in my top 10.
One of my ex-girlfriends looked a bit like a chubbier version of her. Come to think of it, with all this talk of her not being able to control her weight, maybe it was actually her!

And just fyi, even though Batman & Robin turned out the way it did, it was a HUGE film for it's time, and wildely successful.
Huge budget yes, but not wildly successful by any means. The film failed to make back its budget in the U.S., which is a pretty big screwup considering what happened with the previous 3 Batman films.

It also had I believe over a 50% dropoff in attendence in it's second week, which was a sign of the bad press and bad word of mouth.
Still, it's the biggest thing she ever did in her life. Same goes for O'Donnell.
For O'Donnell it's Batman Forever. For Silverstone, B&R was definitely the biggest movie financially but Clueless is her biggest legacy. Kind of embarrassing IMHO.

Clueless isn't a bad movie man. Its' the 90's version of Mean Girls. It a weird way it's a classic. She's always be remebered for that as wella s being the hot chick in the Aerosmith videos. Nothing embarassing about being remembered as a hot chick.
