Sound comes from fingers, tone comes from gear. Can't get that "tone" with out the marshall and les paul... Can't get that "sound" if you don't play like Slash. Its why Zakk sounds like Zakk and Slash sounds like Slash, though their "gear" is somewhat similar. But Zakk's emg's are a huge part of his tone...

This is why Slash should've been playing a side show in Sydney as well, would've loved to see him mix it up with some other songs. All the songs he played at Soundwave festival, I'd heard him play already.

Yeah I would have thought Sydney and Melbourne might have got a Slash sideshow if Brissie did.
I know...I was bummed it didn't happen. Maybe they considered the last slash tour as the sideshows just in advance. I noticed my ticket from the night we met up said "Triple M, MTV Classic and Soundwave touring present".
Personally I wonder if he'll go out anywhere in melbs after the gig. Apparently in the past he's done that - like go out to some rock pub afterwards and see bands and shit.
Not to be stalkerish...but imagine having a bev with slash in some like blues bar or something someplace.

Yeah that would kick ass! Is he still off the booze?
I was thinking when he is here in Perth I gotta try and get his signature added to my sealed copy of LLAS (I've got Axl's on it so he's next). Not sure which hotels he is staying in though 
If I find out then I will definitely go and sit in the lobby at the bar with a mate, have a few beers and try my luck. Worst case scenario I don't see him and I end up drunk. I can think of worse ways to kill an arvo.

Good point I think he is still sober from what I read.
That LLAS thing will be cool as. Getting Axl must have been near impossible! Not like we get a lot of chances here in Oz.
Sounds like a cool plan.
If anyone hears about soundwave's interarty for melbourne PM me and I'll go airport stalking and see if i can get a glimpse of the slasher!
