Nah, Sammy just mentioned that during some recent promo interviews for his new book release. Dave is still currently with the band.

I'd welcome a Sammy return, because for one, Sammy can sing all eras of VH, with Dave they just stick to the DLR era of the band.

I don't know if their reasons for doing that is because Dave can't sing the Sammy stuff though. When Sammy joined the band they HAD to perform stuff from the DLR era. Dave doesn't HAVE to perform any of the Sammy era songs, there's plenty of classics to go around.

Yeah, true, but I'm in the minority of people that prefers some of Sammy era stuff better.

Sammy is a better vocalist, period.
And it's as simple as this - DLR era had better rockers / Sammy era had better ballads.
In a perfect world, VH would cut albums with Roth on rockers and Hagar on ballads, and live shows with a combo of the two performing.
