then why isnt your dream guitar an Epi LP tongue

gibsons are hand crafted and painted and have higher end electronics

the epiphones are laminated wood, machine painted an repica gibson electronics...also you are paying for the "made in the USA" thing as well as being a professional level instrument...and having the Gibson name on it

face it if you have an epi lp custom wine red and a gibson lp custom wine red which one has the bigger wow factor....and its always "i have a LP but its just an epi" as opposed to "i have a real LP"

at the same time though...just cuz its big bucks and a big name doesnt mean that its a better guitar than the epiphone. epiphone does a good job at replicating the gibsons...each one is its own ... one of the biggest reasons why i am scared of even contemplating buying a guitar online...you just dont know unless you play it...at least that is me

nice...i heard Gretsch is the way to go for the hollowbodies though

personally i'm not 100% sold on the hollowbody style...dont think it would suit the kind of music that i play

also tremolo's scare me...that rotovibe pedal would be more up my alley i think. Whammy bars seem to be more trouble than they are worth
