Wow, NR was hard to watch. It was going ok til the line fluff but then he just didn't seem to be able get back in time. It really looked to bother him as well.
Axl certainly wasn't at the races last night and the poor mix etc just compounded the misery. I think he probably just got complacent, it's not like it's been 4 years between shows like 02-06 and I guess he just thought he could rock up and he'd be straight back into touring mode.
As is I said in a previous post, if he knew he wasn't 'on' vocally it was probably a sensible call not to play any new material. Although judging by the setlist there was only a chance of one new song anyway.

Yeah, it was one of the songs MSL mentioned, along with Tonto, Blood In The Water and some others I can't remember.

Was watching Patience again, I thought he sounded pretty good, seemed to forget the chorus and had a fit. I never thought Axl used those teleprompters, but seeing how much he fluffed his lines last night while they were covered up in plastic bags is pretty telling.
Is Axl dyslexic? I am and my short term memory is terrible, if I was up there I could well forget the lyrics no matter how often I'd sung them in the past, but if I was stressed out it would be even worse, my mind just goes blank. I always wondered if those telepromters were there just as an insurance incase he does have a mind blank, even just knowing they are there would be enough to get through the show no probs. But if they wernt working/covered up and he's already stressed out, if he is dyslexic or something, that kinda situation is plenty enough to cause a total brain fog.
