Please tell me you are fucking joking.... at what point did I say Axl wasn't going to even go on last night?
Nobody is denying there were some powerful momenst but there were a shit ton of sketchy moments that made no sense that were plain awful.
Well, I have to apologize. I thought you said they wouldn't go on and I can't find a post that says it. My bad.
Unless you quickly editted them of course. 
Like I said before, there were enough good moments and awesome moments that made me enjoy it. It wasn't a train wreck from my perspective. Hearing Axl sing Estranged made up for everything on my end.

After watching that Patience/PC clip seeing the look on Axl's face and the comment from Tommy it's pretty clear Axl was having a "Who am I kidding I suck" type of night. And that would REALLY SUCK being in the middle of it and there isn't a damn thing you can do about it.

So i am speculating that that was an answer to Axl making a comment that he has recently sounded better or just that he normally sounds better or something.

After watching that Patience/PC clip seeing the look on Axl's face and the comment from Tommy it's pretty clear Axl was having a "Who am I kidding I suck" type of night. And that would REALLY SUCK being in the middle of it and there isn't a damn thing you can do about it.

Too painful to watch. Very sad. Axl looks so lonely, and deep down he probably thinks, "Slash and that dude Myles sound much better than me and my band right now, what the fuck has happened to me, I can't sing, my monitor doesn't work, and DJ still fucks up patience after 5 years"...

re Monkeychow - not buying it about not practicing/rehearsing
he's been @ rehearsals w/this band before
he could practice & familiarise himself w/his own songs w/o blowing out his voice
he has a remarkably unprofessional attitude but demands that level from his crew
but i would be willing to speculate about anti-depressants as he does offer characteristics like you spoke of plus his bloated appearance. or it could be he's fat cause he's lazy & genuinely did get some bad dope the night of the gig.
but really if tommy hasn't seen him since the australia gigs last yr thats another sad statement of the condition of the band nvrmnd the condition of the frontman

Myles isn't all that, honestly. He has no stage presence and while has a good voice from technical perspective, it's bland as hell. Fail on your part

well Tony Romo isn't one of the best ever but kinda like that. I was thinking more like Patrick Roy in game seven vs Detroit in 2002. being argueably the best goalie in the history of the game and then getting lit up for 8 goals in a deciding game. You're in it, there's nothing you can about it, but try harder, yet the harder you try the worse it gets.
I think a real telling point is hearing Tommy say he hasn't seen Axl in a year. That's no good. It really shows how NOT a band this band is. And it really shows how irresponsible Axl is when it comes to rehearsals and soundchecks. Simply showing up for the show at Rock in Rio after not performing in a year is ridiculous. It really is and there' no excuse for that and Axl should not be given a pass simply because he's emotional.

No I was very vocal last night that they would go on rain or no rain. I wasn't and I am still not of the opinion rain played a factor whatsoever. My thing last night was if they didn't go on because of the rain it would be utter bullshit BUT I was one person who said they would go on no matter what and that the rain would not impact that.
