Can you say overreaction to one bad show on the part of some people on these boards? Roll Eyes

Ali

I said how so?

How so?  That one performance would necessarily be representative of ALL his performances.  That Axl could not sing at all and that because of that one performance, he was done.  That to me is an overreaction and taking one data point and incorrectly extrapolating it to be representative of something that it isn't.  Like in 2002.  The bad night at the VMAs were NOT representative of the entire US tour.

And, yes, I know that's my opinion.  And none of that is to "excuse" how he performed at Rio roll

Well to be honest the 2002 started shitty wit the VMA's where his voice was helium induced and stayed that way thoughout the tour, he then never showed up to Vancouver the tour crashed with a no show in Phillya nd the rest of it was scrapped. throw in the lousy ticket sales for that tour and I'd say the disater of the VMA perfomance was pretty indicitive of the 2002 tour as a whole.

I said the same thing when people were saying he would probably retire because of it.

I don't even know why you go over there in the first place, D.  I looked at the site a few times the last couple days and it seriously makes my head hurt everytime I start reading a thread.

I stay over there for the VR/EXGunner and the Fun N Games part mostly.. every once in a while I'll post in GNR section but few and far between.. I guess its just where I've spent so much time and posts there..... I feel I am one of the few objective both sides of the fence people left and If i left for good, they'd somehow win or something.. it sounds dumb I know.

I only post here normally bout GNR if i want to truly discuss things.

Umm, in case it wasn't obvious, I was talking about VOCAL PERFORMANCE.

Thanks for the input.  That's YOUR opinion.  Mine is different, which is why I said, "yes, I know that's my opinion."

Right, so without sifting through 20 pages of arguing in this thread, was this gig better than the Rio gig?

Did Axl fuck up lyrics again or not, and was his voice better...?
