My thing with Cam vs Luck is how immature Cam has come across, and handling adversity. I swear after losing a game he looks like a manic depressive. I'm going to wait a year or so to make sure he's not another Vince Young. Not becuase he's black, but because VY had a very strong start to his career and then showed himself to be an immature headcase who couldn't handle fame, criticsm, diversity or the work it takes to be great. Athletic ability will only take you so far. But as of right now, Cam is light years ahead of where VY was as a player. But as far as being a leader, tbd. And defensive coordinators will figure him out, there will be a blue print, like how Monte Kiffin figured out Michael Vick, when Vick was "unstoppable." Then we'll see.

I hope Miami gets the top pick and trades it. I'm telling you, I think Luck will garner three first round picks, not to mention other picks and possible players.

athletic ability in a qb is just one of many, many qualities a qb can possess and no way the most important.

intelligence, poise, leadership, accuracy, durability.....

all more important features

the vikings have a qb names joe webb who may be the most athletic qb in the league and he is now there 2nd year bench warmer and was recently passed up by 1st year rookie christian ponder as mcnabb's replacement as the starting qb.

look at vick, whom webb runs the same exact 40 yard dash as.

he hasnt produced anything other than letdowns.

qb's succeed where they manage the game and throw the ball

and when the rb's and wr's are the ones that make the athletic plays.

by the way, joe webb has also returned kicks, played wr, and has more rushing td's, per play, than any other qb in the league.

im too lazy to paste clips of these examples though.

I will say this one time...

CAM NEWTON IS THE MOST SCRUTINIZED PLAYER IN THE HISTORY OF COLLEGE FOOTBALL.  More bullshit was said about that kid a year ago than any other player, and it didn't fuck with his head one bit.  In fact, he only got better.  He HATES losing and demands his teammates to go all out.  He is the Michael Jordan of Football.  Cam is so much bigger than Vick, with a better arm and not really much slower.  He rises to the occasion every time.  He has the heart (like Tebow) to match his awesome athletic ability (Tebow has the heart, but lacks the other tools)....

Cam will be fine, I am telling, you isn't Vince Young, or Vick... He is something the NFL has never seen before.  In time he may just be the perfect weapon.. And I don't see how you scheme to stop newton, cause unlike Vick and Young, Newton doesn't "have" to run... He can throw darts from the pocket all day...

Anyway, the guy is a winner, and after the shit he went through last year at Auburn, I will never doubt him.

i wish that the pats would utilize their running game more...pretty obvious if you throw every time that the opposing defense will catch on...why arent they using Ochocinco? and their pass defense is fucking brutal infact their D as a whole is terrible

While I'm not clamoring for the Pats to feed Ocho the ball more, I DO think Brady has to spread the ball around.  He's becoming way too reliant on Welker and Gronkowski.  Similar to previous years with Welker and Moss.  I mean Gronk and Welker are his best options, but Branch, Hernandez, Woodhead, Faulk, and possibly Ocho shouldn't be forgotten.

And yes their defense is bad, has been bad, and is not getting better any time soon.  I don't get it.  I've been screaming for years for them to get a pass rusher.  This off-season they revamped their D-line (cut Haynesworth today), but none of them were pass rushers outside of Andre Carter and Mark Anderson.  And those guys, while solid at times, are not difference makers.  Unfortunately the Patriots offense has been uncharacteristically bad the past month, especially Tom Brady.  He's just making some really bad throws and decisions.  But, I think the offense will be fine, they'll work out the kinks.  Can't say the same for the defense.  In the end though, this team is going nowhere in the playoffs, IF they even get there.  Same team as the last 2 years that will lose to any team that can slow their offense down.  Just look at the last two weeks against Pitt and NYG.  They are wasting Brady's prime years with this piss poor defense they're sending out there.  I don't get it!

Haynesworth got claimed by the Bucs yesterday.  Anyway, I root the Titans I think they have just as bad a pass rush as the Pats do.  It's frustrating on 3rd down when the quarterback has all day to throw.  The Titans have good corners this year and you can't really expect anyone for 5+ seconds on every down.

I remember watching the NE-OAK game and Jason Campbell had pretty much all day to throw in the game.  On several plays, he had close to 10 seconds to throw and no one from the Pats was even close to him.  The Pats can get away this with lesser or average teams because Tom Brady masks a lot of their problems.

They've also missed on a lot of defensive draft picks over the past few years.  The upcoming draft isn't going to yield much help if they're looking for a 4-3 DE.  Don't know about 3-4 olb/edge rushers though.  Wilfork and Mayo are the only guys that I would say are good on the front seven.  Carter too but I think he's too old.  They need another S after Merriweather didn't work out.

I think Chad Johnson is done.  Second straight year he's played poorly.

Bears are in a shitty situation. Basically have to win all their games and even then arent guaranteed a wild card spot. One of those games against the packers, & one of the teams fighting for a wild card is a division rival.

No way. Their issue was no RB & shitty defense. Marino was overrated but no legit RB is what killed that team.

Dolphins should have offered the Bills anything for Kenneth Davis. Guy was a monster RB but didnt reach his full potential due to being Thurman's backup. Shocking no one went after him & the dolphins REALLY needed him in the early-mid 90s.
